## Description

The ADPT-HL1-OC rail mount is designed specifically for the ops core helmet rail systems for use with the Hl1 helmet light. The SureFire helmet light provides low-signature, night-vision friendly illumination for night navigation and close-quarter work like reading maps, loading gear, or repairing equipment in the field. Featuring virtually indestructible LEDs, the compact, weatherproof helmet light produces white, colored, and Infrared output at multiple power levels. Designed originally for military and SWAT applications, the lightweight SureFire helmet light is also an option for Carving, climbing, construction, or search-and-rescue operations.

Review: You need this clip for rail mounting. Worth the price! - I bought this adapter clip to mount my Streamlight helmet light on the rail of my ballistic helmet. It is sure enough tight fitting to the rails so I coated the rails with a film of gun lube grease as far back as I thought I would push it back, using a cotton swab. I also coated the little shoe on the clip too. Slid right on so easy and it will come off as easy too. This is a quality product that is made tough and will last, a very good compliment to the light and should be included with every helmet flashlight of this type Streamlight sells. All said, I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend it to everyone who has this helmet flashlight. Just put a dab of grease on the upper and lower helmet rails as well as the clip’s shoe and it is an easy install. Pros: solidly made, works well. Cons: high price, should be included free with every helmet flashlight of this model.
Review: Works great - It's such a tight fit that I had to build a wooden tool (just a simple rectangle the width of the rail with a notch cut out to accommodate the clip) and use a rubber hammer to get it onto the rail (or move it from spot to spot) without breaking it. Other than that it's fantastic. I just wish it came with the light rather than an extra purchase. And that it came in black, since my light is black and it looks a bit odd over a tan mount. Having said that, I'm glad I bought it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this mount rotate so you can point it where you want like the standard helmet mount does?**
A: Yep. It has preset angles that it “snaps” to. I’ll post a picture of mine when I can.

As an aside, I’ve mounted it on a genuine Opscore (ARC), and it’s loose. I’ve mounted it on a Revision Batlskin rail, and it’s loose. I’ve mounted it on a Crye AirFrame rail (made by Opscore), and it’s loose. I’ve also got a knockoff Opscore bump helmet with rails, and it’s loose. 

The dovetail-shaped (wedge) base that slides into these rails is simply not the correct dimension (wide enough). It wiggles, works free and slides. It’ll pop out of the rail if you try turnturn/adjust it. The only fix is to make up or shim the difference with a pliable material, such as a piece of a Ranger Band. I saw another dude who wrapped the base with one of the black bands that come with SOFTT tourniquets to make it fit during an op. 

SureFire surely can and should fix this issue.

**Q: Will this work on a team Wendy rail**
A: A reviewer said he had to use a mallet to get his to fit. I just used a hammer and a Allen wrench to force mine in. It is a tight fit but it isn't going anywhere. That's with a Team Wendy rail

**Q: For those who have made this work on a team wendy exfil was it rail 2.0 or rail 3.0? i don't see how it would work on either. tia**
A: While I am unfamiliar with the team Wendy I don't see how ops core would be able to mount on 2.0 or 3.0 either. They are nothing alike.

**Q: Does this slide into the helmet rail, or do I need to add another attachment, my helmet came with different attachments?**
