Acquire 60th Anniversary Edition - Deluxe Components, Finance Game of Speculation & Strategy, Ages 12+, 2-6 Players, 90 Min

Acquire is a great game and has stood the test of time. It feels modern and not out of place among the popular games of today. This 60th anniversary edition is, however, a let-down. The price is outrageous. My money chips are fine in-game but when put away I can see that mine are badly warped. The printing on some of my stock cards is very badly centered and cut. And the cards are flimsy. The buildings are the same as the normal edition but with shinier metallic paint. Some of the banners do not stay in place. Don't be fooled by the premium price, this is not a premium product. Get the normal version instead and learn to love the paper money.

I bought the Acquire 60th Anniversary Edition as a christmas gift for my father in law (50s), who loves classic strategy games. It was a hit! He was thrilled as soon as he unwrapped it, especially with the retro design that brought back memories of playing the game years ago. This edition has some wonderful throwbacks for longtime fans, like a retro-inspired design tipping its hat to its original look while incorporating modern enhancements. I think it makes it a great collector’s piece. My FIL couldn’t stop raving about how much he loved this edition. It brought back nostalgia. Perfect for family gatherings or game nights! Highly recommend!

I haven’t had a chance to play this yet, but I had to leave a review after opening the box—wow. The luxury of the components is immediately apparent. Everything feels premium, from the materials to the presentation, and it truly feels like a special anniversary edition. You can tell a lot of care went into making this feel like more than just a game—it feels like an experience. I can’t wait for the family fun to commence and get this to the table. If you’re a fan of Acquire or love deluxe board game editions, this one looks like a real treat.

One of my favorite games. Quick setup with this insert, one of the best economic games ever made. This version improves my one complaint with the older versions of the game by replacing the paper money with heavy chips.

This the classic battle of want vs need. You need Acquire if you are a gamer...you don’t need to pay the extra 50 bucks for, basically, a bag and poker chips. I need to give this game 5 stars because it's great, but I want to mention, you can still enjoy the cheaper version of Acquire and buy another quality game for the same price. Do you want to feel the weight of poker chips, or do you need to save $50? Maybe there's a way you can do both? A few posters are disappointed with this perceived cash grab, and I definitely see their point. However, I love this game and the bag and the chips. The last word here: Capitalism.
