UPDATE: spoiler alert - Cool White 12V DC ...ROCKED ...AND then it died.
APRIL 2019: Excellent light! Plenty of light. Just be sure to use 12-14 gauge stranded DC wire or the amp draw will increase. I was a novice and used 18 gauge stranded wire and the draw was 3.7 amps. I switched to 12 gauge stranded and the draw went to 2.5 amps just like the specs indicate. UPDATE: APRIL 12th, 2020 The light worked great UNTIL IT DIDN’T. The light quit. 365 (days) X 11.5 hrs (7 pm to 6:30 am) = 4197.5 hrs

did not last very long.
UPDATE: I bought two of these and attached them to a fixture. They come on at dusk and they go off in the morning. One of the two lights just stopped working after only a month or two. You can see from the picture that the light on the right side is now very dim. I am now less impressed with these. I think they are probably driving them too hard to get extra brightness out of them causing the lights to burn out These are pretty bright. It’s about 180° of light output so definitely a floodlight.

Powerful Light, Flimsy Mounting Bracket
Fantastic light that illuminates a very large area for minimal wattage. The mounting bracket is really thin. I only have a few days on this so far. I will revisit this review in a few months if I experience any issues.

Easy to mount. Brght and uniform light.
I found it easier to unbolt the mounting bracket, screw the bracket down and re-install the lamp. It produces bright and uniform light. I used with a simple RF switch to control from the house - or from the key fob inside a car.

A few issues keeping it from a 5 star
The light is advertised as a true 30 watt, but it falls short according to the MPPT charge controller on my solar system. I have a dedicated solar system with 100w PV panel, 50 AH lithium battery and Renogy Rover 20A MPPT charge controller to power the light shining on one of our signs at one of our neighborhood entrances. The original 120vac feed for that entrance had a problem that was going to cost $7000 to repair whereas I was able to build and install a solar system at 1/10th the cost. According to the charge controller, the light starts out pulling 40 watts, but within 10 minutes, it stabilizes at about 23 watts. Of course, I can’t visually see a decrease in light output, but assume the luminance drops off proportionally. I included two screenshots showing the load draw initially and then again about 10 minutes later. Another issue is that the light only comes with a very short cord that makes it extremely difficult to wire inside of a junction box. The cord is less than 8” long. Surely they could have put a slightly longer cord on this light. Even 12” would make a huge difference. I can’t speak to longevity of the light, because it’s only been in service about a week. It’s fairly light duty, but serves the purpose for which it was intended. It’s hard to find a 12 volt fixture that is built with a conduit knuckle mount.

Failed
Put the 1st light up, it lasted about 3 weeks. Went from bright to low dim, to nothing. Replaced it with the 2nd one I ordered, and it lasted 6 days. Same problem. Different brand (2 lights been going over a year) , and and 3rd brand in different location 8 months. All mounted outside on a shed/trees, run off 120aH 12v battery, charged off solar.
