Great flavor though a little liquid-y
We love this simmer sauce for making tacos. It does leave the meat a bit more liquidy than using a dry flavor packet, but we tend to cook out some of the liquid. It has a robust flavor with a tiny bit of heat.

For more than beef tacos!
This sauce is very versatile! The sauce is amazing and has a great depth of flavor. I use it on beef, pork, chicken and as an ingredient in other recipes.

So yummy
I used to be able to find this brand at the grocery store but now I can’t find it anywhere. I was so happy to see it on Amazon at an affordable price. Makes dinner so easy and it my favorite taco “seasoning” technically it’s a sauce lol but my whole house loves it!

Frontera is fantastic
I have reordered this sauce for years!! Simply the best taco night recipe when I use this simmer sauce which is perfect for 1lb or even 1.5 lb ground sirloin. Brown it, with or without diced onion, squeeze in the sauce, simmer. Just the right amount of tomato, several chili pastes, suspect a mixture of guajillo, ancho, California and just a hint of smoke from chipotle. This mild is just fine for all palates, because it is packed with flavor!

Always expired, delicious nonetheless
Best taco sauce ever. The right amount of flavor that a lot of other pre-made taco sauce lacks. Not a spicy food fan but the mild sauce has just enough kick to add to the taste that the normal frontera taco sauce lacks. Can never find it in stores these days so I'm very fortunate to be able to find them SOMEWHERE at the least. Biggest con I've had with ordering, they almost always come expired. My latest purchase was ordered January 2026 and ALL six I had ordered said "BEST USED BY SEPT 12 2025" As I said, this is the only way I've found to purchase this these days so I risk it and have yet to have any issues with them looking bad, tasting off, or getting sick. Regardless, I would be cautious and keep this in mind. The packaging varies as I've had them come in both boxes and loosely packaged with the amazon paper/plastic mailing bags with tough bubble wrap. Even then, I've never had any issues with them busting during shipment.

Our local market stopped carrying these in store so I am happy they are available here! Tasty and easy for those nights I don't want to cook from scratch.
