This worked just fine with one exception, the voice button didn't work. I kind of didn't expect it too. Sometimes with technology the off brand things don't always work 100%. It was still worth the purchase.

While this is a replica of the original remote that came with my tv, this is a much cheaper version of it. The buttons are not as thick. It clicks every time you press a button, and the whole things does not weigh a lot. Also, there is not the range of the original remote. This definitely has a certain field from which it works, and if the end of the remote is not in that field, the tv will not respond. With the original remote, I could be covered up with a blanket and have the remote pointing down and still change the channel.

I bought this to use with my new Samsung QN90B TV....basically to replace the smart controller that came with it. Well it ends up I now have two controllers I do not like now - but it does work and it does feel well made too...at least for the price. It's not cheap feeling to me and has a good weight with slightly tacky feel on the buttons...so all that is good. Still there are a few things I do not like about it. The biggest being the Main (return) button and directional arrows - all of them are small and jammed together in a right area. This makes it difficult to operate these buttons without accidentally hitting others near them....especially if you have big hands like me. In general there is not very much room for error with this remote. I would have preferred it be a lot bigger so the buttons could be spaced out a little better and sized differently making it easier to feel your way around - which is important if your viewing area is in subdued lighting like mine is most of the time. At least the volume and channel buttons are easy enough to feel. The center "Main or Return" button which is the one you use the most, should be larger and more prominent. I am not sure why they just did not stay with a round disc shape for that one. Another somewhat annoying design element is you can't easily tell which direction you are holding the remote so I often find myself flipping it around multiple times before I get it right. A better design would have been to tapper one end so you could feel which direction the remote is pointing. The main reason I bought the remote is for the number buttons. Since I use an antenna it's nice being able to go directly to a station versus having to toggle the channel button. It also has a Previous channel button which was another reason I bought the remote and the reason it gets used at all really. With the exception of the Pre-Ch button there is really no reason for me to pull this remote out versus using the one that came with the TV - which I do not like either. Although it is nice having a backup for those times where I misplace my main remote so there is that I guess. In the end it's a decently well made remote, the price is right and it gets the job done. So it can fill in for a missing remote or a backup, but if you are looking for something better than the Samsung Smart remote that came with your TV....I think you will be disappointed.

I bought 2 controllers. One is new wrapped properly. The other seems used with scratches all over. Both controllers can work though.
