why does it have different number on the faces of "32nds" - one has 30, 31, 32 - can you explain?

If they printed all of the numbers on one "face" the text would be too tiny to read. By printing different integers on different faces they can fit more on while keeping it legible.

Will numbers rub off after years of use

I don't know about after years of use, but I've had mine for about 6 mos. and the numbers seem to be just fine. The number insets in the plastic seem to be deep enough that the ink won't wear off. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
