We bought this piece of bendable steel to go around our pipe leading to our pellet stove it’s going to work perfect it easily bends just enough but seems to be very durable thickness for our needs! The price was the best I found and I’m pretty happy with it should be easy to install. Came in a box that kept it safe from damage and shipped quick. Size is right on description thank you!

Used this as a magnet board. I attached to the side of my cabinet with 2-sided sticky tabs and it works great. Strong enough to hold magnets, unlike magnet sheets. Way cheaper than any magnet board I found, and nice industrial look. There were some tiny scratches, and one corner was a little bent but works great for what I needed and cant notice the flaws. Overall happy and will be ordering more for my kids. Be careful-it is thin and corners could be sharp. An adult should place on wall. (can not get pictures to rotate so they are sideways!)

Exactly what I was looking for! Our local Lowe’s and Home Depot don’t sell steel sheets 3’ x 3’ only aluminum. I needed steel so it was magnetic. We recently had a kid and we have a gas fireplace without a glass cover. Because it’s a gas fireplace, I didn’t want to try and take out the rocks and logs and gas lines. If it was a wood fireplace I would’ve just cleaned it out and used it to store toys or something. So I bought this metal sheet along with some magnets to cover the fireplace opening. I did end up buying some 28” x 2” thicker steel bars to help prevent it from sagging. I then covered this metal sheet in black fabric and glued it on. After everything dried overnight I used the magnets to hold this in place. The surrounding of the fireplace on the top and bottom is metal. Hence the bars as I couldn’t use any magnets on the sides. Now we have a cover that matches the rest of our fireplace and since it’s steel we can use magnetic letters and toys etc...down the road for our kid to play with. If we ever want to use the fireplace it’s also as simple as using something like a paint can opener to pry it off. Before this our kid kept crawling over and playing with the metal screen and almost ate a rock. Since this has been on he has not once even touched it so it’s done exactly as I wanted! Added a photo of the sheet covering the fireplace before covering the metal with black fabric.

Pros: good thickness, works as intended ( diy magnet board), affordable for large size Cons: Doesn't seem as good quality as I expected. I thought it would be smooth, kinda like a steel appliance or something. One side is kinda scratched and the good side that looks smooth actually isn't smooth bc it has a weird black textured area. I didn't care to much, but just wanted a nice smooth steel for a good magnet board, which is why I have 4 star. If you want perfect, this isn't for you. I think others have stated that quality control isn't that great.

At 12x12, I can cut one side down to 8 1/2in and it fits neatly into a 4L or 9L 'really useful box' plastic storage bins. I use hot glue gun to stick the big panel to the bottom, and I still glue the smaller panel to the side so if I have any models that are long I just mount them to the side panel so they're sideways. Strong magnets stick very well to the metal plate. And it cuts quite well with my tin snips. While it's cheaper to order these through amazon, I would have thought that if I ordered 6 that all 6 would come in one flat pack or one box. But nope, the ship the sheets two at a time in a gi-normous oversized cardboard box. So for 6, I also got three oversized cardboard boxes. (and even then, one bent corner). I'm feeling the carbon-guilt on that one (three big shipping boxes for 6 panels) so I may try to buy these local in the future.

These have been really great and packaged great to protect the metal in shipping. My only complaint would be that i received some that were varied gages, some were really thick and others quite thin. I would recommend the seller to select which gage they are sending people and stay consistent. I ordered quite a few of these recently and didn’t love that they weren’t all exactly the same. But i still give 5 stars because they arrived in good condition and did what i needed them to do!

Wanted to give this 4.5 stars because a couple of the corners were bent on a few of the 6 1 x 1 squares I ordered, but it was simple enough to do a minor tap or two with a hammer and flatten them back out so no major harm done and only a slight bit of imperfection which is barely noticeable. These were perfect for the DIY project I used them for, they do a fine job holding up magnetized spice jars on the wall above the sink. They grip magnets very strongly. They are also nice looking pieces of metal, I could see them being useful in other ways as well, and I would purchase again from this seller if I ever decide to go through with those other ideas. They are packaged well too, I don't think my experience of bent corners is something you'd see often with packaging like this.

I purchased this to hand on the wall (which is possible if you create a frame of nails for it to rest it, so that we could use magnetic poetry on it. It worked very well for this purpose and held up for the 2 years we had it up. One complaint is that it arrived with 2 of the corners dented and they could never again be quite straightened. For the purpose and the price though, I'd probably buy it again.

Used it as a magnet board. Put a decal sticker on top of it and still works great with my magnets. Easy to cut with regular scissors.

These are nice smooth sheets of metal, but the edges are not as finished as I'd like them to be. Can be dangerous if not handled properly. Otherwise, great for holding even the cheapest of magnets.

I bought this to stick magnets on for my Warhammer 40k models. This sticks to my magnets. Perfect. Corners come bent so expect to straighten them out on your own. If you don't want bent corners, go in to your local hardware store.

We are using the steel as part of a fire brake. It is difficult to buy steel in smaller sizes like this company offers. Thank you.

Arrived with one corner curled (probably during shipping) but was easily flattened. You fo hsve yo drill your own holes to attach it to the wall. Provides a real industrial look on the wall behind/beside the stove - easier to clean than cleaning a painted wall
