no more hum
The hum from the magnetic ballast in the fluorescent fixture was driving me crazy. It was pretty easy to snip the wires from the ballast and splice them together with a wire cap. I bought the 3k and 4k temperature lights. I prefer the 3k warm white for use inside my Japanese altar. So happy with the quality of the light. I was afraid when the description said plastic it would be cheap materials but it comes with a hefty metal heat sink and feels very well made.

Turn your old crummy T4T5/D fluorescent into a beautiful bright LED fixture!
This is really an amazing product. My under-cabinet lighting was the old GE 8 inch fixture GE Slimline Fluorescent Under Cabinet Light Fixture, 8-Inch 10167 . The lumen rating on the fluorescent bulbs is 130, but they dim pretty quickly and look pretty dull. These bad boys are rated at 200 and they have a beautiful white work light color. Unfortunately they are not plug and play, you have to remove the ballast from the old fixture and in this case, they were manufactured to fit tightly and they will take a bit of effort to retrofit. The fixture is a sealed plastic unit and you have to cut it open to get to the ballast. I purchased one of these WEN 2305 Rotary Tool Kit with Flex Shaft and it had everything I needed to carefully perform surgery on the fixture. I sent several emails to the Fulight people and they were extremely responsive and helpful. It is a tight space, but if I can do it then anyone can. I estimate about 4 hours in total on the project, but most of that time was figuring out the best way to remove the ballast and rewire the fixture. I did 5 in total, the last four took about an hour to complete.

May work for your application but be aware of some concerns.
This bulb didn't work for me but that probably is due to where I wanted to use it. I wanted to use it in a battery powered lamp but the lamp doesn't put out enough voltage to really light up the bulb. As a test, I applied a full 120 VAC to the bulb and it really lit up. So, if you're going to apply 120 VAC to the bulb, it will light up just fine. However, be aware that the bulb does have two physical concerns that should be considered. First, the end caps are noticeably larger in diameter than the main tube. In my case, in addition to the electical issue, the bulb didn't fit into my lamp because the reflector in back of the bulb was right up against the tube so the larger end caps wouldn't let the bulb fit into the reflector. Second, the bulb does not emit light from half of the tube at all which explains the "rotatable" feature so that the bulb can be rotated so light emits from the "front" half of the bulb. So, if your installation has enough clearance for the larger end caps and/or if you don't mind light coming from only half of the tube, this bulb might work for you. But if your physical clearances are close and/or you need light coming from all around the tube, look elsewhere.

Perfect fit and Easy install
Works great. Brought my Schmidt's beer clock into modern, efficient, LED lighting. Easy replacement for my flourescent tube. LED is direct so you have to bypass the ballast, this required a little rewiring trickery, but got the job done. This comes with instructions on how to bypass the ballast I cannot say if these are good or not, as I did not use or need them.

Perfect Florescent Replacement!
Perfect! Converted some old florescent lights, that were impossible to find replacement parts for, and these worked great!

Easy upgrade
installed this bulb in an old bar light that ran a fluorescent. Removed the ballast and momentary switch, which left only the bulb ends to be connected. Used wire nuts and was done in 5 minutes. Nice and bright-easy to do with included instructions.
