LIGHTWEIGHT - This 100% waterproof saddle slicker is designed to fit a little loose. Our Slicker should easily slip over your normal clothes in case you are caught in a storm, and easily get taken off and placed back behind the saddle if the skies clear. These PVC dusters are light weight making them easy to carry for you and your horse. LET US KEEP YOU DRY - Whether your checking your cows, on a trail ride, hanging out at camp, or tending to the horses, this rain coat will keep you totally dry. SADDLE GUSSET AND DUAL BOTTOM - The saddle gusset is a little over a foot of extra material on the back of the slicker to help protect your saddle from heavy rain. The dual closer bottom also allows you to have a "dress" like look or have the coat wrap around both legs. For the dress look, button two buttons in the back and one in the front. To wrap around each leg, skip the first dress buttons and button the next three to give you a "pants" look. Now you can stay clean when walking through mud. POCKETS - Multiple pockets help keep everything you need at an accessible reach and totally protected. Pockets with buttons to create a water resistant atmosphere for items that can't handle the chance of getting a little wet as well as pass through pockets to easily reach items in your jeans, that can stand up against a rainy day. DUAL CLOSURE TOP - We provided a dual closure to help ensure 100% waterproofing, warmth, and security. First a zipper starting at the hips to secure the jacket to the body. Followed by a set of buttons for a top seal that will not allow water to seep through the cracks of the zipper. We even went as far as sealing all the stitching for maximum waterproofing. I gave it four stars only because the snaps are not very .........tight. It unsnaps too easily. The hood would come off with any slight tug. You can snap the bottom into 'pant legs'. I did that while walking around because I am only 5' 3" and this slicker even in a small is very long. I tended to trip. So if I bent over, the leg snaps would come undone which was a bit annoying. Otherwise for the price this is a great product. I've bought several as gifts for my horse friends.

Very worth the price

Nice Slicker, but Very Large
I really like this slicker - perfect for riding in wet weather - large enough to cover the saddle. I ordered a Medium and received a slicker with both a Large and Medium size tag inside. It is ankle length, which I LOVE! It's not only perfect for riding, it'll be great for feeding the horses in the rain. There are exterior and interior pockets, and there is a detachable hood. I'm 5'5" 130 lbs - this large/medium slicker is HUGE - fits like a sleeping bag on me. It's large enough for a linebacker!! I'm returning for a size small in hopes in will fit better.

Great rain gear for the price!
Bought this for a mountain horseback riding trip. Haven't used it yet..but tried it on and it is big...I am a woman, 5'3" 145 lb and ordered a "Small". It is large but not too big as I will have room for jacket/sweatshirt etc underneath with room to spare. When riding you don't want to have tight fitting clothes on anyway. I liked the soft collar and fasteners on the cuffs. Not so sure about the 'flap' in the back that is supposed to cover the back of the saddle....in order for that to happen the legs would be awfully short! LOL overall a great buy for something I kinda hope I won't need :)

Size runs SMALL!
Sizes run SMALL not large. I ordered XL, and can't put my arms in front of me. The Levi's XL fits me perfectly, I'm about 6'3" and 200lb. Slick plastic duster, not oil cloth but definitely waterproof. Includes a snap on hood.

So far I think its working
not so great! I do like the option of the removable hood, but the hood in itself is somewhat small. The BIG complaint I have is that there are openings on the side of each side pocket, SO when you are riding, they gap open and if its raining....I understand that concept, but its a ridiculous thing considering the point of wearing a rain jacket is to stay dry.. This allows a lot of water in on your pants. Easy fix, to just seal it with glue.. But why should I have too. Poor designing on the makers part. ASK people that ride all day in the rain on a horse. Revision of my review.. same complaints.. but more... This thing started peeling in the seams in less than 3 months. Basically worthless.. I might have not worn a rain coat for I was soaked in a few minutes.. so I dropped the review down to one star!

Great coverage including for saddle
This did the trick for a rainy day trail ride. About as good a coverage as I expected. The zipper and buttons held it on well and the flap in back covered my saddle. My legs were pretty well covered. The fit is very loose, but that was ok for me since I had a lot of warmth layers underneath. The front of the saddle was still a bit exposed but it probably would've been a bit awkward to get coverage that far forward/high. My only complaint is that the legs didn't have straps to hold them in place. I stuffed the extra material under my leg to hold things down when it got windy. Recommend you bring your own straps to tie down the legs or modify it (which is what I plan to do before the next time).

For this price point, this is a great slicker! Be sure to close the flap on the pockets, otherwise, they’ll fill up with rain!
