It’s definitely a bit noisy, but I absolutely love it! This machine delivers perfectly fluffy shaved ice every single time. It’s quick, efficient, and incredibly easy to use. Just add ice cubes right to the top—though be prepared for some noise! To stop the operation, you simply turn the lid, which is a straightforward process. Clean-up is a breeze, which is a big plus in my book. My only real concern is that it can get a little messy, and there's limited space for larger cups underneath to catch the snow—so you’ll need to use a bowl or a small 8 oz cup. However, when fully loaded, it can fit an entire tray of ice cubes, which is impressive! My teenager has also embraced using it daily, so you can definitely say it’s teen-approved! See my video.

I absolutely love this shaved ice maker! I wish I would have purchased in January before the hot summer. I love icy drinks, popsicles and sno-cone's. The maker is easy to use, shaves ice quickly, noise is acceptable and I like the texture of the shaved ice. The only negative comment is the bowl is way too small. I use a quart size mixing bowl and it works perfect.

I reviewed snocone machines for like 6 months. So if you’re looking for a machine, this is the one. A little noisy but not more than expected. Works great. Works with ice cubes. Might seem like it’s jammed when it stops intermittently, but if you twist the top and then twist it back it works immediately without having to do anything. It will stop with bigger ice cubes but as soon as you untwist and twist it’ll crush right through it. Definitely worth the money. It is portable. And the only other thing id recommend doing is leaving the bowl underneath after you’re done, so the remaining crushed ice that builds up, doesn’t drip onto your counter! But by far, so glad with this purchase, we use it every day, multiple times a day.

We returned because although advertised as a machine to crush ice the ice was more like shaved ice. Perfect for snowcones if that is what you need.

It works pretty good, but is loud. I like the crush ice.
