NASB Large Print Ultrathin Reference Bible, Black, Leathertex, 1995 text

This is a very nice thin bible which I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable bible with a great translation. For my daily bible reading I use the ESV for no other reason but just because of its easiness to read. But I would disagree that the NASB is difficult to read as I have heard from many people on the internet. I actually find my self picking up this NASB bible almost every day and reading from it. Sometimes I will read a passage from the ESV And then pick up this NASB and compare translations just out of curiosity and never do I find doctrinal or meaning differences between the two translations.This bible comes with a very nice incrimination leather cover that has glossy look to it with golden edge pages and the paper inside is not bright white which is nice because it gives it more of a classic bible feel to it. It may feel a bit stiff at first but just like a baseball glove start braking it in by bending it around your thighs every 100 pages or so and eventually the book will bend and open like real leather.For $9 bucks you can't go wrong if it falls apart for another $9 bucks you can buy another bible. I have never bought an expensive bible and never paid no more than $20 for a bible except for the MacArthur Study Bible and at the end all that matters to me is that all the words are in the bible and that they are accurately translated from the original text which is what the NASB does very well.

This review is for the new NASB Large Print Ultrathin Reference Bible, Brown, Genuine Leather, 1995 text, released in December of 2024.This edition of the classic Lockman, NASB 95’ LPUT is absolutely FANTASTIC! Lockman knocked this one out of the park. They kept the same font and layout of the old one, but now that they are printed in Korea, the paper ( which is now 32gsm ) and the opacity ( which is like a creamy white color ) for the classic LPUT text block is WAY BETTER than the older editions that were printed in China, that had a blue tint in it’s opacity, and really thin paper. This is the LPUT to get. You’ll no longer have to search eBay for the early 2000’s printing of this text block, which were going for years at ridiculously high re-sale prices. Now….you can own one that’s just as good for a MUCH cheaper price. And I don’t want to forget about the cover on this edition either. It’s a really nice genuine leather, with perimeter stitching, which is kind of pebblely, with a nice texture to it. It’s a cover which should last for a very long time if treated well. All I know to say now is….Way to go Lockman!

What a perfect Bible - verse by verse format, reference verses in center of double column text. So easy to read with dark print, especially welcomed for aging eyes. Quality cover and smyth sewn - deep brown color very nice.Thanks to Lockman Foundation and Amazon for making this available for such an unbelievable price.NASB 1995 still my favorite translation.

This bible is now the bible that I mainly use. Its hardcover and cloth overlay give it a classic and reverent feel. The font is fairly basic, I personally would have preferred something a little more regal like a Times New Roman, but it is much more modern. The words are printed well, everything is clear to see. There is a section in the front for your name, the date, marriage, births, and deaths. The pages, on the other hand are very thin and I imagine, (withouth taking great care), would rip very easily.

Great Bible translation and this reader’s format is very easy to read.

This is such a beautiful Bible. I purhchased the black "leather like" NASB 1995 version and it far exceeds my expectations. It lays flat so beautifully and the black cover feels very floppy and, to me, it feels like real leather.. the paper is a little thin but that is to be expected. HIghly recommend!! I hope they never stop printing the 1995 version, if I could only have one translation, this would be it. :)

I prefer the NASB 95 and that is what you have here in durable cowhide leather. Not too small for my eyes and works great in one of my EDC packs.

You've got to have glasses or a good eyesight to read this Bible. Otherwise it's good quality for the price

This is a great EDC Bible from Lockman. The personal size is great, especially the thickness, it is not as thick as other personal size Bibles. The 10pt. font looks crisp and clear on the 32 GSM Korean paper. When I look at computer screen, I need a reading glass, but I can read this 10pt. font without it. The genuine leather feels like bonded leather, but this is much more flexible. According to some users, the feel will get better if used frequently, and this genuine leather will hold up well way longer. I'm happy with this purchase not only of the quality, but also what it offers within the text, the 14,000 translation footnotes which are very helpful in studies. I bought this as my EDC, I believe this will serve me well and long as I serve the Lord.I'm giving this a 4 star due to the box it came with, it's dented. I like to keep Bible boxes as they are very well made and beautiful.

I have a NIV, NKJV Bibles but i wanted the best of both of it so i bought this NASB Bible. Though not very popular but i loved it totally especially the greek cross, it gives a depth to this Bible which i wished. Its easy to carry and very handy. Though fonts are small but its easiky readable.

Not my preferred leather cover but overall, the best everyday carry (EDC) Bible I've own. The large font (nit sure of the size) makes it easy to read. The two-column, verse-by verse format looks great even if though I prefer single column ones. Between footnotes and references, I prefer the footnotes and this particular edition allowed the Bible to be smaller easier on the hands. The bold verse numbers are a huge plus and makes it easy for me to find the verses. It's a keeper!

I have a large print, sizeable Bible for home use, but wanted one for taking round and about. This Bible is excellent - lightweight, with very clear type and limited bleed through. Definitely recommended.
