Aqueon Clip-On LED Aquarium Fish Tank Light for Planted Growing Plants for Up To 20 Gallon Aquariums

I have this light on a 12" cube tank and it is certainly bright enough to grow the plants and illuminate the fish. Im growing mostly a carpet of s.repens along with some japanese moneywort, pearlweed, and dwarf hairgrass. All of the plants are looking good and growing quickly. The light stays on the glass (rimless tank) with no problem, and hasn't shifted at all. Touch control is simple and effective. For growing live plants I would not recommend this light for a tank larger than 10 gallons without getting a second one, though for fish only and fake plants it would probably illuminate a standard 20, but not a 20 long.

Super bright with full setting, Flip the screw and use with framed, Touch Power Button on top so awesome!, perfect heighth for a 5 or 10 gallon, plants and fish are happy! Update: had 2 of these for a few months. Water plant loves it. Algae, loves it...too much. Fish are happy. Dont use the blue light setting. 👍🏻🙂👍🏻. Update: had 2 of these for 1 year. Yesterday 1 started flickering and ultimately would not turn on anymore. my curious mind opened the cover up. There is no protection around the touch plate and wafer board so over time water droplets made their way to the control board and corroded the board causing the entire system to short out and destroy the contacts outside and in the control board. If you purchase this item seal the edges of the cover with silicone-Fish safe ofcourse.

Aqueon has always met my expectations and this light was no exception. It does put out a considerable amount of heat for its size, but that's to be expected with its brightness. It is VERY bright even on it's full blue mode. I would keep that in mind if you consider buying. It is great for plants, but I do wish it had brightness control. It wouldn't be that hard to add to that light either with its haptic switch. The switch works great by the way. Really convenient, and I definitely recommend for small tanks 10gal or less!

Great light! Fish and plants are thriving. Easy to setup and very simple to use. Need a model with built in timing for switching from blue to white, back to blue and off but for this price it wasn’t an expectation. UPDATE: so as others have pointed out, the blue lights are causing massive algae blooms in a fully planted tank. My water levels including phosphates are all where they should be but this wavelength of blue light is really good for brown and green algaes.A neighboring tank with the same parameters and lighting schedule is crystal clear. Also, if you use the hinged glass cover, this light sits too low or too far forward to allow you to open the lid all the way and the black hinge lays right in the middle of the path of the light. I thought i would be able to ignore it but it has been a constant pain.

Good light, I do agree with other reviews that it does get hot to the touch. I added a smart plug to mine and have it set on a timer so I never actually have to touch it except when I’m doing water changes. Perfect for my 5 gallon aquarium and it work with frames or frameless tanks. Would purchase again.

I bought this aquarium light for my ten gallon tank with 8 celestial pearl danios. I would say my fish-keeping ability is beginner to intermediate. So far the light seems to work well and I like that it sits up above the water rather than straddles the tank. It is very bright compared to the former led I had on my tank. Setup is straightforward and I’ve had no problems with the light staying put. I have it on a timer and I like that you can choose a lower light level. Especially since the light has been encouraging algae to grow. Not that my plants are getting bigger hopefully they’ll be thriving more than the algae.

This product is brighter than my previous light of similar size but trade-off is it gets much warmer. I'm afraid to cover the tank with the cloth because it could burn. Whereas previously I was able to cover the light at night when the kids went to sleep. On the night mode for blue light it is only warm which is standard. Overall I do see the plants growing much better on my seven gallon tank. I have Amazon sword and Moss and various plants. I did a small modification (cut bottom 1") for it to fit perfectly in my petco Imagitarium 6.8 gallon previous light base. Would definitely buy this again as it is more sleek and does a perfect match. Before I get flak on the tank cleanliness I have not cleaned it for 3 years lol. I only do water changes, filter change and trim the plants. I let that fish and shrimp take care of the rest. 😀👍 Update: After about 6 months two of the 30 or so LEDs to them have burnt out. Still a good light.

Great product. Very easy to install and use. Toggling between white, blue, and off is very easy. Lights are very sturdily made. The (few) live plants in my tank seem to be getting just enough light. So, I wouldn't recommend this for heavily planted tanks. By biggest question when ordering these was around how many I needed to adequately light my 25 gallon. I definitely needed two to fully light the tank. I would say that anything above 10 gallons really needs more than one light, going up by a light for every 10 gallons or so. Pros: -Sturdy. -Good light. -Easy to use. Cons: -Only lights about 10 gallons per light. Would strongly recommend these lights for basic, freshwater setups that are lightly planted.

Loved this product very bright and vibrant! The different modes support plant growth but can also be switched for a very nice viewing light of the overall tank! This supported my 20gallon very well and I can see it supporting a 30 or even a 40 gallon very well. The clip on my light came broken which I do not blame the company or the transport for it or even the product, the light is super durable I beleive it was just unlucky but besides that a little superglue fixed the problem just fine.

La lámpara es excelente, el nivel de luz es bastante bueno. Para prenderla y apagarla solo hace falta un toque en la parte superior. Trae un tornillo que debe fijarse al cristal, dependiendo de si el acuario trae marco o no, y la lámpara queda perfectamente fija. La tengo en un acuario de 6 galones y la iluminación es perfecta. Lo único malo es que se empezaron a reproducir bastantes algas filamentosas, pero no es culpa de la lámpara.

A complete waste of money. 2 pin plug (not one that you can adapt) therefore waste of time for UK customers. Shocking that its even on the Uk site.

Llegó a tiempo, se compraron 2 para una pecera de 110 Lts e iluminan bastante bien, se conectaron a un control de intensidad de iluminación y no afecta su funcionamiento. Muy muy recomendables.

I've had it for several months now and it's still going strong. Plants are doing well and it makes my tanks and fish look great. This is my second purchase of this lamp, and would buy another.
