Bargain Binocular
This gets 5 stars for value. Build quality does not feel cheap in any way. IPD adjustment requires just the right amount of force and keeps its position. The focussing wheel is precise with no slop or hysteresis (which can be noticeable in cheaper porroprisms). The binocular is comfortable in my largish hands. Eye relief is sufficient for use with spectacles when the eyepiece rubbers are folded down. Most importantly, the image is sharp and bright with a wide field of view. My only niggle is that no rainguard is provided. The eyepieces have individual covers which don’t fit when the eyepiece rubbers are folded down for spectacle use. Although only 6.5 magnification, the image appears close to 8x and is ideal for garden birdwatching. A comfortable strap is included and a practical soft case. I now have two pairs of these binoculars which probably says it all!

Great little binocular (6.5x32 model)
Opticron Adventurer T WP 6.5x32 binocular: --------------------------------------------------- This bino is really great value. You get the typical Porro prism benefit of a better view for the money (compared to a roof prism bino). They give a nice sharp image in the centre. Blurring starts 50 or 60% from the centre, but is all due to field curvature (if you refocus, its' actually sharp right to the edge). For those who don't know, this field curvature makes these binos fantastic for views across a landscape, or in close cover like woodland. The curved field means that when you focus on something a distance away, the ground closer to you, and all inbetween, is also in focus. Sharp, bright views, waterproof, relatively small and light - and very cheap. What's not to like?

Excellent 10x50 binoculars
One of the best 10x50 binoculars you can buy for astronomy at this price, as reviewed by Steve Tonkin and excellent for terrestrial use as well. Worth every penny. They are also quite lightweight.

Bright, sharp image. Large field of view. Good eye relief. Pleasure to use.
Bought these 6.5x32 glasses for general outdoor nature use after finding it difficult to find a 6x30 pair. I am more than happy to sacrifice magnification for brightness and field of view. Also I wanted a porro prism design which I find more natural to hold than to the more modern high magnification roof prism designs which tend to give narrow fields of view and images which are darker and difficult to hold steady. The image quality is very good; bright and sharp ( about 2 1/2 times as bright as a pair of 8x25 compact glasses for example). I have compromised vision in my left eye but the individual adjustment compensates admirably. I don’t need my glasses. The wide field of view ( 9.2 degrees) and excellent contrast make it quick to locate moving wildlife and the low weight means I can observe for a long time without my arms tiring.

My current favourite set of binoculars
First up i have to admit I'm a bit of a binocular addict who owns way too many sets of bins so forgive me if I get a little carried away this. I am more of a fan of porro prisms than roof prisms so these bins where always going to be of interest to me. I have been looking for a set of water resistant nitrogen filled porro binoculars for some time now. I didn't want to spend more than about £150, but then Porro bins are often much cheaper than roofs so you can still get a fair good set of optics on porro's for that price. The issue is always going to be that porro's are harder to water proof than roof's due to the design. There were some decent sets for around the £130 mark from three different brands that were water resistant and nitrogen purged, but in various forums and even on a review here on Amazon people kept mentioning these as a better option even though they don't feature the Nitrogen feature. Numerous remarks mentioned them being optically better. I'm lucky enough to have access to a set of absolutely brand new condition Zeiss Jenoptem 8x30 bins and they are the reason I prefer porro's so much. When these arrived my first thought was that the photographs of them online do not due them justice. They look quite cheap on here and Opticron's own web page. But the look and feel of them in the hand is so much better. They feel great. The first look through them really pleased me. The colours really popped out and were so lovely, crisp and vibrant. The field of view is lovely and wide so picking things out is easy. I noticed next to no colour chroma blur of hard edges like poles which is common. Also the focus wheel was exactly how I like it. Slow and easy to fine tune to get the best image. They have a less yellow tint than the Zeiss bins which is common to Zeiss optics and I think I like the less yellow Opticron tint slightly more in fact. The Zeiss still beat them on edge blur as the Jenoptems have pretty much no edge blur. But most porro's have edge blur so i am not bothered by that. I admit I would like them more if they were nitrogen purged to avoid fogging in rubbish weather, but for £75 I think they punch WAY above their weight in terms of optical performance and how they handle. Ridiculously comfortable to use and place against the eyes with nice soft eye caps. I have used them at night for moon gazing and while they are still good, I have better bins for that as these get more glare of the moon's surface than others I have. But I bought these for birdwatching and I have to say they have gone top of the list for that job. Very recommended indeed.

Brilliant
I work for an environmental charity and these were recommended to me by someone who has worked and qualified in the sector for over 30 years. And he was right to do so! They're really good and aren't too big or heavy. Great for use outside and for taking to bird hides.

Very poor
Having used opticron before I had high hopes for these bins. These were badly out of collimation for starters. This model has had exceptional reviews for astronomical use so I checked the left image @ 75 yards. It was poor. The adjustable eyepiece fell out of the right hand side. Eyepiece rubbers make for uncomfortable viewing and very thin. End caps are not fit for purpose. Rubber case peeled away when taking off caps.

Bargain!
After trying a few other brands thought would give these a go so ordered the 12x50s and all good so far! Returned my Pentax Jupiters because the eye cups and ocular lens were too small but these are bang on. Small, light, easy to adjust, good magnification, nice crisp image, just a good value pair of binoculars!

Alles richtig!

Excellent value
If you like the classic design poro prism design and you want a bright, sharp, natural coloured wide angle view, there is no need to go further. These 6.5x32 binoculars are a joy to use. The focusor wheel is buttery smooth with no discernible free play when changing focus. I have more expensive ED high definition binoculars , and these are right up there with them for sharpness. Being o ring sealed against external contamination, they should remain clean internally from moisture and fungal spores for many years. Truly excellent value.

Excellent poro binocular
Save yourself time and money. If you like the traditional poro prism design binocular, this little gem may be all that you need. This Opticron T WP 8x32 has bright, sharp and a good wide field image. I can see why online reviews of this binocular show high rating scores.
