In short, excellent! I have a problem with my T1 neck joint, as well as hypermobility issues and this bed has made a difference. It's a firm mattress, maybe too firm for some, but for me it was fine and could even go a little firmer, but bear in mind I prefer firm to soft, so I may be biased there. Smell is far less than another memory foam mattress I've owned and is only noticeable when changing sheets and your nose is pressed up against it. Haven't had a look at the actual mattress under the cover yet, as I'll be washing the cover once a month, so I'll update if there's anything untoward there, but I'm confident it'll just be the same as what you see on the adverts. I would also like to mention that I paid (almost) full price for this item, (although £450 is deffo worth the money for a king size memory foam) but I don't think if I had paid the full £700 that I would have been so generous with the stars, although it would not have been far off. Only downside is the cost of a new cover is very expensive, as are the pillows. But you can get kingsize protective mattress covers and memory foam pillows from other manufacturers, so it's not completely dire. Otherwise, very happy and very, VERY comfy! Getting some excellent sleep now. Thumbs up! 👍

It arrived I waited in anticipation for my Husband to take it upstairs, unwrap it and put it on the bed, oh heck i thought they have sent the wrong size, let it breathe he said, we unzipped the mattress cover and let it breathe for an hour, and when we went back to it it was there all filled out, we zipped it up, we lay on it, we bounced on it and then I made the bed up. I couldnt wait to get in it that night, I was not disappointed, it was so comfortable but supportive. it touched all the right places it was supposed to. The next morning I actually got out of bed with no aches and pains in my back, it wasnt stiff, it wasnt sore. And 2 weeks down the line aches and pains have all gone, i think the other mattress was too firm this is just right, n o aching neck and shoulder it just cushions you, its fabulous and well worth the money. I f you get out of bed of a morning feeling stiff, struggle to turn in the night i would highly recommend this mattress.

Awful has given me a really bad Back it just sinks no support the smell has not gone. Lots of snags on the cover , cover is very poor quality . Looks like it could be a return repackaged and sent out again. After sleeping 1 night on the mattress it has a dip in the middle and has no support it is just hard and flat. trying to return but not getting much response from the seller . Lots more snags but very difficult to photo. Emma mattresses have a bad name now I wish I had of done more research . If you are looking to buy one google Emma mattresses first but you would be best looking for another make or you will be stuck with getting rid of it and losing money only to have to buy again. Bad seller. You should have the right to return within 100 days trial looks like that does not happen.

We’ve only slept on the mattress for two days but so far, so comfortable. I am relieved as we finally have a mattress that fits our bed frame fully which our last one didn’t and it drove me crazy! There isn’t as much bounce as a spring mattress but that doesn’t matter as when you get in, you sink into it but it still provides ample support. If you are a sided sleeper, this is the mattress for you, I’ve never fallen asleep so quickly and so comfortably. I suppose my only gripe and why it isn’t 5 stars is that the first two nights I’ve found myself falling into the middle of the mattress with the sides being slightly higher than me. May be that we need to give it a few weeks to fully acclimate but that so far is probably my only issue which hopefully doesn’t get worse. But all things considered, great mattress for an even better price. TIP - If thinking of getting one, hang fire if you can till Black Friday for a good deal.

I really hadn't realised how poorly I was sleeping before, until I got this Emma mattress! It is worth unpacking it a few days before you are going to place it on your bed, as there is a faint smell when newly opened. It only took about a week to get used to this mattress, it is so comfortable. It is warmer than regular mattresses so take that in to account when thinking about how heavy your duvet is for the time of year! I am a side sleeper, my husband a tummy sleeper and we were constantly waking one another up with our fidgeting and poor sleep. For the last two weeks, I have literally slept without waking and got up in the morning without any stiffness, back pain or lethargy (apart from the reluctance to leave such comfort!) Highly recommend!

I was a little wary of buying a mattress unseen and based solely on reviews, although the 'Which' recommendation gave me confidence. The price was considerably lower than other similarly rated mattresses from other reputable companies. The product came in a manageable box, all packaging in excellent condition. It was easy to unwrap and puffed up to an impressive size very quickly. I left it to air in a spare room for 24 hours because I am sensitive to 'fumes' from new mattresses/carpets etc. It is extremely comfortable and just yielding/soft enough for someone who can only get to sleep on their front. Having suffered from a trapped nerve in my neck for 4-5 months, I am finally having uninterrupted nights' sleep again - the Emma mattress must surely be a contributing factor in this improvement. Two weeks on, I can't fault it.

I am writing this review after 2 weeks sleeping on my second Emma Mattress. The first one did not expand properly and varied between 7 inches at the lowest to a maximum of 9 inches. I contacted Emma and after a few emails this was then replaced. This second mattress certainly did not expand in the 20 minutes as it says on the website. After 2 weeks it is now up to a maximum of 9 inches and some sides in places are only up to about 8.5 inches in places but apparently this is within the 2cm allowance and the corners are definitely not nice and square like the photos. I wonder if anyone out there actually has a 10 inch Emma Mattress. There was also a vast difference in the firmness of the 2 mattresses which I received. The first mattress which was returned was really soft and very comfortable but I was worried it was faulty and the lack of expansion was a sign of this. The second mattress is a lot firmer and although not uncomfortable it does make me question the consistency of the product. When I read reviews there was definitely conflicting comments about the firmness and I do wonder if this is not just about personal preference but actually the mattresses vary. I am sticking with the mattress for now as I have the 200 night trial but mainly as it is so much bother to return and replace, although this is not due to Emma’s customer service but my personal situation as a pensioner caring for my terminally ill husband and shifting a large mattress on my own is not easy. I can confirm that the mattress is fairly comfortable but as to buying one again I don’t think I would.

I had a good quality sprung mattress on my bed but for the last few years I had been sleep badly, getting 7 hours at the most and waking up with aches and pains. I read the excellent review of this mattress in Which and when I saw it on offer I thought I would give it a try. I needed a Kingsize and I should warn that the box is heavier than expected and the poor delivery driver struggled with it. I have a slatted sleigh bed and the mattress is shallower than a sprung one so it sits lower in the bed. When you first use it you relies that you lay on it rather than in it which feels odd at first. I have now had it for just over 2 weeks, i fall asleep almost immediately on getting into bed, and have yet to sleep for less than 8.5 hours (often its 9) . I hardly wake during the night, I am not disturbed by my partners movements and wake up pain free. It is a little warmer but my old mattress but not an issue. So for me its a winner
