My boy has MMM, an autoimmune disease that destroyed his jaw muscles. So he overheats quickly. This vest helps a LOT to keep him cool in the dreaded heat. It has 2 different zipper tracks so it will fit your pup specifically, tightens on the underbelly, and has attached harness clips. Zip it up inside out and it washes with no issue (yes I already had to wash mine and have had it for 5 seconds lol). Highly recommend.

I don’t typically leave reviews. However, this product is so good I would like to help other owners. I’m a veterinarian and have a cream French bulldog. These dogs are prone to over heating fast. I bought this for our trip home to Alabama. It’s done great but I really tested it today. My dog loves riding on the mower with me. We just spent two hours cutting grass. I stopped once to offer water and re soak the vest. He was not panting I’m just extra cautious. The vest was still cool as was he under the vest. It could of lasted the entire two hours without re-wetting. Two hours in full sun with his vet on, it’s 93 degrees and 79% humidity and he never even started to pant. Even after getting off the mower he was comfortable enough to just play in the grass. This is literally a lifestyle changer for me and my dog in the heat. Now my dog is accustomed to sweaters in winter so he had no problem with the vest or any other clothing. It actually fits really well my dog is a muscular 8 month old French bulldog who weighs 17 pounds. I’ve washed and let air dry and he’s worn it almost daily for a month and it’s holding up well. My dogs only 17 pounds of pure muscle but it’s worked as a harness well. I would HIGHLY recommend this product. This could prevent so many heat strokes I see as a vet. Absolutely so glad I bought this. My app won’t allow me to add pictures right now but I will say it has two zippers so it can adjust to fit dogs as they grow or those that aren’t a perfect one size fits all.

My husband thought I was crazy when we bought this, but we use it nearly every day during this hot summer! We have a 23lb mini goldendoodle puppy, and the small fits her perfectly. I like how it has a double zipper for if she grows just a few more pounds and you can extend the chest width. I have a few thoughts: My last dog HATED water, and my current puppy loves it. This is only a theory, but I think that dogs who hate water might be unhappy wearing it. My pup licks the water on her chest for a few seconds after it’s put on, but otherwise she’s entirely comfortable while wearing it. Also, if we’re out for a while and it dries out, I can just pour more water on her. I know that with my last dog, this would have been an absolute dealbreaker. It has anti-UV light reflection, which helps your dog stay cool, but when it dries out it doesn’t do the cooling job as effectively. The final thing is that the plastic pieces that you hook your leash onto are slightly inconvenient. They’re widely spaced and you have to try to fumble with them to get your leash attached to both. I’ve found that it helps to loop one side and then the other with the metal clasp on the end of the leash! Other than those things, this is well worth buying and very effective! I place my hand beneath the harness to check the temperature of the vest, and it stays cool for a very long time.

With the hot weather coming, you should consider adding this to your must have list for your pet. The material feels very durable and well made, my 13 pound Shih Tzu has sensitive skin and this did not irritate him at all during our first time use. This is a great step in harness with an easy to pull zipper and metal loops for the leash, it just also happens to be an excellent cooling vest.

After ordering several dog cooling vests, I finally landed on a good one. I don't usually write reviews, but this is such a good purchase that I am taking the time to share. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT COOLING VEST! My dog is 5.4 pounds. This is the only jacket that fit her. It has a small velcro to tighten the neck. It also has two different zippers for sizing. There is a small pull tab to tighten the chest. It is made very well out of good substancial fabric. Thank you to SGODA. PS..I WAS NOT PAID TO WRITE THIS REVIEW.

Like the fit and easy zipper. Wet and freeze for 10 min. Works well at first. In the 80s temp, dries up in 15 minutes. So offers short relief.

I’m writing this review after purchasing my first cooling vest from this brand a year ago for my dog Rhea who was ~50 lbs at the time. She is half Husky (with a water-proof, double coat) and part Rottweiler (giving her the classic rottie black color with tan eyebrows). Her cooling vest lasted for the entire summer before she grew out of it. Recently I bought Rhea, now 70 lbs, a size XL as well as a XXS for my new, 6 lb, chihuahua foster named Midnight who is also black. The XXS fit Midnight perfectly everywhere except the chest which was just a teeny bit tight. I exchanged for an XS however the size difference was significant, with the XS completely covering Midnight’s underside giving no space for him to pee hygienically. Because I have seen just how much this cooling vest made a difference for Rhea in the past, I decided to take the slightly too large XS to a tailor who was able to shorten the underside of the vest giving him ample room to relieve himself and mark trees to his hearts content. I just got back from walking them both in SLC, UT in extremely dry, 87 degree weather for 45 minutes. Both my pups were so happy and comfortable for the entire walk. When we got to the park I submerged both their vests in a nearby stream before getting them both dressed. I really love how easy this vest is to put on a dog. Rhea, my larger dog HATES clothes of any kind so I especially appreciate that I can distract her long enough for her to unknowingly step into the arm holes just in time for me to pounce and zip the rest of the vest up. As soon as she has her vest on though, you can immediately tell it makes a difference. I no longer worry about heat stroke and as a very dedicated dog owner with a limited budget, that peace of mind is worth far more than this products asking price.

It really works and definitely helps our black dog hike more! It doesn't stay dry for long and it isn't super absorbent, but we have found the best way to do it is either squish it in a stream or a bag. Usually we carry a bag to put a little water in and massage it around. You can recharge it without taking it off but it is much more effective in the bag and uses a lot less water, which is important if there aren't a ton of streams. Our guy isn't a fan of water but he is ok with the jacket, he just usually refuses to go in the water to recharge it. Pros: - Light color but still bright edging for visibility - Cleans up well, still looks pretty good despite copious mud - Built in leash clips - Keeps pup cool when wet Cons: - Leash clips are awkward, but too far apart - Zipper sticks when it gets muddy/dusty - Doesn't hold a ton of water

This arrived just as the heat wave in British Columbia began. It was 30 degrees today, and it is only May! I have used a cooling vest for years now, and the old one needed replacing. This one is way better than my previous one. It has a double zipper, I assume for different widths of dogs and it was nice and comfy on my pup Acorn. It is really well made with two layers, so when both layers are wet, it lasts longer. If you are out for longer you just wet it again. I also like that you don't need a harness with this one. We had a good walk in the park, mostly in the shadier parts and Acorn was perfectly happy. Just remember to keep your pups off the concrete and tarmac so they don't burn their paws.

Personally, I will rarely use it because of the size of my dog, but if you have a dog, that’s 10 pounds and up this is a very well-made product.

Au début de l'été, mes chiens (1Malamute et 1 Golden) avait très très chaud. Je pensais avoir trouvé la solution idéale! J'ai donc acheté cette veste et une autre, d'une autre marque. Ni l'une ni l'autre on fait leur travail. Après plusieurs tentatives, elles ne gardent pas le froid. Mes chiens suaient quand je leur installais sur le corps, même en suivant les instructions à la lettre. Par contre, je dois avouer qu'elles sont très belles. Le tissus et les coutures sont de bonnes qualités mais leurs couleurs sont beaucoup trop pâles. Elles sont extrêmement cher pour en avoir vu en boutique d'animaux par la suite a beaucoup moins cher! À mon avis, ces vestes ne gardent aucunement le froid. Elles sont belles, certes, mais à quoi bon la beauté, n'étant pas le but! Malheureusement je dois dire ... À NE PAS ACHETER !!!
