The Best when nothing else seems to be working
Important to know: I have found that this works best if applied several days BEFORE or AFTER the cat (or dog) is bathed, as it seems to work better if the skin is not freshly cleaned and all skin oils haven't been removed. I have used this periodically for many years on cats (and also the dog formulation for my dogs). I rarely use chemicals on any of my animals and I avoid the ones noted as "Plus". But, on the rare occassions we go somewhere new and the Nitenpyram doesn't get all of the fleas due to a intense infestation, this is my "go to" defense, especially if I find a tick on one of them. I would never use this as often as it's recommended but so far, using it on rare occasions I have found it to be effective and no apparent side effects. I owned and operated a pet boarding facility for over 25 years and I recommended this to my clients. I never had one complain that it didn't work, nor that their pet reacted badly to the application. (For my cats I found the tricky part to be getting it high enough between their shoulder blades, toward their neck, so they can't lick it!)

Great value.
I've been using this item for over 3 years now for my twin Huskies. Its very safe and easy to use. My dogs have had no side effects, it doesn't leave a color on their fur and they have not had fleas at all since starting it. It also doesn't leave a smell on the dog but if you get any on your fingers you fingers will need to be strongly washed to remove it.

Sorry to say goodbye to Pet Armor
We have used this product for roughly 7 years. It has always prevented fleas the full month. For ticks it might last three weeks tops. Usually 2-2.5 weeks. But I can pull the ticks and spray the dogs with a cheap big retail store spray and it gets the dogs through the month with very little additional effort or cost. Plus it gives me some time with the dogs and they do not mind the short cleaning and grooming. The reason for four stars is the so-so job on ticks and the fact that my last order, which was for six dogs from 5 to 92 ibs, failed miserably. They all got fleas within a week. And of course they spread everywhere very quickly. I repeated the dose within the first week and in two days the fleas were back on them. I bathed the dogs with a flea killing shampoo. I bug bombed the house twice with a product stated to kill fleas. We washed and sprayed the inside dogs bedding. I sprayed the dog houses inside and out. I sprayed the dog pens, which I use if I need to quarantine a sick or injured dog. I sprayed the yard and a solid 15 yards beyond my property line. I followed that up by spreading granules. Ultimately I was compelled to switch to another very famous and more expensive product. When I was done and the fleas had been gone for 2 weeks I had spent over $480. None of this was labor as I did all of the work myself. Of course, if you have fewer dogs, a smaller house and a smaller yard your cost will be less. My wife and I keep our house immaculately clean and she has been insufferable during this month long war against fleas. She wouldn't allow anyone to even visit us for fear they would take fleas home with them. We will now spend the extra money for a better product because we learned the hard way that all it takes is a single failure of a flea product and it will cost us a money and WORK. To Pet Armor I say this.... You did right by us for a long time, for a fair price. Thank you for that. But one lapse in quality control was all it took for us to change labels. The drops were within date. Hopefully the more expensive drops won't cause us to repeat this experience.

Much more affordable
This works well same ingredients as the name brand flea drops. Could cause a rash if you hug your dog the day you put them on

Did not work even a little bit
Gave both my boys a bath, the next day after they were good & dry, o did their flea treatments. 5 days later, I was playing w/my pit & scratching his "crazy spot" to get him wound up (right where the tail joins the body) , and 4 fleas came out. I thought maybe it needs more time, maybe they're still dying off. We had just got back from the coast & he loves to just lay in our yard, under the porch & on the beach so, I thought that may be part of the problem. 1 week later I was loving on him when, 1 flea jumped on my arm but then I managed to get 2 more off of him. My other baby has seasonal alopecia so, significantly less hair, he also has darker skin but is a red fawn color. He never seems to pick up as many, or they just don't try to stay w/him. We give them treatments monthly but didn't start using this brand until late June. The 1st time I excused it b/c they do like to be outside anytime I am which is at least 12 hrs a lot of time more per day. Most of the time they are chilling on the back porch as it's cool concrete & shaded but, they do like to get a donkey roll in the grass daily. However, that has never been a problem w/the previous brand. So, I thought maybe it was a bad batch. After the 2nd order produced the same results. We will definitely be going back to the old brand.

Topical flea treatment for dog
This is A package of topical treatment for dogs that are 5 to 22 lb. This container has three which is 3 months worth of treatment. Everything is labeled accordingly and very easy to read. It did not work well on my Jack Russell terrier mix and I do live in the south.
