BePuzzled | Spiral Hanayama Metal Brainteaser Puzzle Mensa Rated Level 5, for Ages 12 and Up

Puzzle was well packaged and appears very well built. The puzzle is entertaining, but not extremely challenging. Just added to my collection. Makes a good fidgit toy.

Several other reviewers have hit all the important highlights. This is more of a beautiful, well crafted, heavy, interesting paperweight that it is a "5" difficult level puzzle. I think that one reviewer may have gone to extreme by suggesting a "1" rating, but 2 or 3 seems about right -- after solving it. Of course, I haven't bought any 2 level, and not sure if I have any or many 3 level. It took me 2 or 3 days of idle attempts to solve this, and once solved it is extremely easy to solve again. Pieces slide smoothly and everything works well to provide for a bit of fun. Given the (sale) price, I would say that it is well worth the money and will be a nice addition to by barside puzzles.

Got this as a birthday gift for my sister, who loves puzzles, and it took her a day to figure it out. She loved it. It's also fun to fidget with.

As usual a great product from this company. Still trying to figure it out. I love a challenge.

Bought for my husbands stocking stuffer, he loved it! Took him about 45 mins to get apart. But he loved the challenge! He brought it with him to Christmas dinner to get the other guys to try it lol

Hanayama makes a lot of these cast metal puzzles. Some of them are harder than others, and the difficulty levels are a rough approximation for how long it will take you to solve them. This one is ok to play with. It's not particularly hard, but the geometry is gorgeous. It's really more a nice piece of art than a puzzle. As some of these are, this one can be solved by accident, but then becomes very difficult to put back together if you weren't paying attention. I actually had this one come apart in my hands while I was attending to something else. I wouldn't recommend this as the first Hanayama puzzle to start with if you're looking for a good puzzle since it's not as much fun. It's elegant from a geometric perspective, but not from a puzzle perspective. I'd recommend Labyrinth , Elk , or Quartet first. Those are all more "classic" puzzles. This one is a bit more like Nutcase or News , more art than puzzle.

My fiancée is obsessed with these puzzles! They're great brain teasers. It's a great gift, good value for money, and sturdy because it's made out of metal. Highly recommend!

Spiral is another fantastic puzzle by Hanayama. Its heavy, sturdy, and the pieces slide smoothly. I discovered the solution in about half an hour, broken up into 2 short sessions. Satisfying as always! As I've learned with these Hanayama puzzles, it's important to disassemble slowly so you understand how to reassemble. Knowing this, Spiral was pretty easy for me to put back together. In my opinion this is an easy level 5 puzzle. I struggled much longer on both my level 4 Hanayama puzzles (Cake and Marble). Spiral earned a 5 star rating however, because it's a lovely puzzle. The parts are fun to slide back and forth, and it looks great on my new puzzle shelf.

Solid steel puzzle. It's heavy. Feels durable. People who come home find it quite interesting.

Quede encantando con esta Spiral de Hanayama, y considero que es la primera compra de muchas más futuras. La calidad del producto es excelente, y su nivel de dificultad no es cuento, aunque como descubrí, desarmarlo es una pequeña porción del problema, re-armarlo es mas desafiante jejeje Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Espero conseguir mas articulos de Hanayama!
