I have thin hair, and Brylcreem didn't hold my hair together well. One gust of wind was all it took for me to go from looking like a debonair gentleman to a molting bird. Groom & Clean holds my hair together and also makes stray hairs a thing of the past. Brylcreem was also greasy, and as others have also noted, I had to wash my hair twice to get the residue out. Because Groom & Clean is primarily water-based, it's not greasy at all and washes out easily.I have noticed that Brylcreem and Groom & Clean do have different scents. To me, Brylcreem smells like what I imagine an old-time barbershop to smell like, whereas Groom & Clean has more of a mint scent. Neither smell bad, and honestly, unless your significant other intentionally smells your hair often, does the scent really matter?TLDR: After a year of using Brylcreem, I switched to Groom & Clean three days ago. Groom & Clean holds thin hair well and isn't greasy, unlike Brylcreem. Groom & Clean also has a faint minty scent.
