Nice magazine tool.
This tool does work good, recommend using a pair of pliers or channel locks and slightly squeeze the sides of the magazine to assist in removal.

So Easy to Use
Very simple and cost effective tool that saves so much headache. This allows you to remove the base plate on your mags to replace them or to clean or replace a part. Helps so much since a person only has to hands. If you have done this before you know. For anyone doing this for the first time, the plate and spring are under tension so be mind full it could go flying if you do not have your thumb over it as the base plate comes off.

Works well, solid construction
This tool is extremely easy to use and makes removing the floor plate almost effortless. It works on 9 and 45 size mag floor plates. Built well with all metal construction. It also comes with a fancy drawstring storage bag.

It works with 43X mags
It works as intended. If you're having problems just put some muscle behind it. It was pretty tough to get it off. I was reading other reviews about using a towel and other stuff, but the tool is all I needed. It's a well made aluminum tool. Update: After using it on a few mags I see one con. The only problem I see with this tool is is does mess up the hole a little bit on the baseplate, as you can see in my picture. I have to pry so hard that it messes up the plastic. I wouldn't want to clean my mags too often, or this tool is going to wear it down so much that I'm not able to take off the baseplate. I added the other scratch to the baseplate. It's number 3 so I can keep track of my mags. Keep in mind this is the first time I've done this, so it could be user error. Just thought I'd mention it. It happened on three of my mags.

Handy little for Glock mags
I was searching for a reliable but not cheap tool to replace the base pads on my Glock mags and this works great. I recently bought a pistol that isn't Glock but takes their mags and I had a hard time using the punch method so I took a shot on this. I am using Gen 5 15rd mags and Wolf springs & this made the the swap out very simple even with the small tabs on the side of the mags (it didn't seem to damage them but it does leave a rub mark - next swap I'm going to a piece off electrical tape in that spot) It's similar to using a bottle opener but in the opposite direction. I had to do 2 pulls: 1 to "unlock" the tab 1 to pull the OEM plate off completely.

Golden. Worth every penny. Eliminates need for Godzilla or extra strength training for your hands.
Yes, theoretically you never need to clean your Glock magazines. Except that you buy el cheapo ammo for practice and it's greasy and gummy and all that and eventually the mags get sticky. Well the book says "Push down on the retainer with your punch tool while pushing in on the sides and slide off the base plate. " HAH. Godzilla couldn't make that happen. This little tool does the job. It's a bit scary at first because it feels like it will destroy the mag, but fear not. Just be sure to hold your thumb over the plate so the mag spring doesn't fly out. "You'll put your eye out with that." Seriously, a great little tool. Plus it includes the front sight nut driver, which itself is worth and least $5 and a roll pin punch - another $4 or so. So this makes the thing like about $4 to remove your mag bases. Pays for itself the first time in reduced muscle strain and blood pressure. The little bag it comes in is worthless, but maybe you will like that too.
