Must Have If You Do Your Own Repairs
I've been working on my own cars for years and doing some side repairjobs, and used quite a few scanners along the way.The maxisys ms906 max is one of the more capable tools I've had in my hands. Getting started was easy. It powered up,updated, and connected without any issues. VIN auto read worked on most vehicles I tested. The biggest advantage for me is the bidirectional control.Able to commanc parts on and off instead of just reading codes makes diagnosing much more direct.Used it to run cooling fans, cycle the ABS pump during a brake bleed, and test different actuators. It saves time and cuts down on guesswork. The screen is large and bright, which actually helps a lot when working outside or in a dim garage. It responds quickly and doesn't lag when switching systems or pulling live data.Full scans are fairly quick andlive data graphing is smooth enough to catch intermittent problems. It handles all the common service functions I normally use like oil reset,EPB,SAS calibration,DPF regeneration, injector coding, and battery registration. The MS906MAX,just like the expensive ms908s pro ii andelite ii pro, also supports ecu coding for many vehicles, this is a big plus if you do module replacement or configuration work.I've triedit on newer vehicles as well and communication has been solid. It's not a budget tool, and like any scanner some advanced functions depend on the specific vehicle. After the free update period you have to decide whether you want to renew. Even without renewing,it will continue to work on the vehicles it already supports. Overall, this feels like a legit shop tool without paying dealer tool money. If all you do is clear a check engine light once in a while,it's probably overkill. But if you're actually diagnosing problems and fixing cars on a egular basis, the MS906 MAX just makes life easier and saves you a lot of time.

Fast, accurate and really easy to use
I chose the MS906 MAX over the MS906 PRO and don’t regret it. The larger screen is nice, and the quicker response is noticeable compared to older models. I’ve used it on Ford, Chevy, and Toyota vehicles without any problems. It quickly helped identify a wheel speed sensor issue on a 2018 F-150, and I was able to reset the BMS and recalibrate the steering angle on a 2017 Camry after a battery replacement with no issues. Everything worked on the first attempt. The interface is smooth, loads quickly, and the screen is big enough that you're not going cross-eyed after staring at it for hours on end. Honestly, a solid diagnostic tool overall, and from what I've seen, the seller support has been reliable, too.

Impressed!
Ok,I've been using the old MS906 for about 8 or 9 years, and it's mademe a lot of money, so it definitely served its purpose. l knew theMaxisYS series is Autel's high-end line, so l did some research andeven called Autel for advice. The MS906 MAX is a bit more expensivethan the MS906 PRO, but it's totally worth it. The hardware is muchstronger, and l'm confident it' ll last me another 8 years. l didconsider the XTOOL D8, but after comparing features, l found theMS906 MAX offered things the D8 didn' t, so you get what you pay for. Today, l used the MS906 MAX on a 2018 Volvo to replace the rear discsand pads with the electronic handbrake. The experience was smoothand easy. My favorite part is the diagnostic speed, it's super smoothand makes car repairs much easier. After using the new MS906 MAXI'm definitely never going back to my old 906!

Fast, reliable, and the customer support is great!
906max makes working on cars way easier. I adjusted the rearview mirror on a 2022 Subaru right in the module. On a 2018 Accord I mostly check live data and freeze frames. Refresh is quick and really handy for random glitches. Pulled the VIN on all three cars I tried, which saves a lot of extra steps. Connection is fast and fully wireless. I can leave it on the tool cart and work from outside the car. Battery lasts all day. I had an issue with a special function not showing up correctly. Emily helped me confirm the vehicle and system version, guided me through the update, and showed me the steps. Problem got fixed fast, no runaround, no excuses. Makes me feel confident using this scanner on all the jobs.

Finally a scanner that works
I've tried a few cheaper scanners before this and got tired of wasting money. They look good online but once you plug into a car you realize what's missing. Modules won't load, coding options half work, connection drops. I do a lot of coding and maintenance so that stuff slows me down. My budget was around $1000 but I went over and grabbed the MaxiSYS MS906 Max. Been using it a few weeks now on US and European cars and it's been solid. CAN FD and DolP actually matter on newer vehicles, I can get into all modules without fighting it or rescanning three times. Hardware is strong too, 10" screen, 128G, big 11600mAh battery, quad core, Android 10. It runs smooth, doesn't lag, doesn't overheat after long jobs. Feels like a real shop tool, not a cheap tablet with OBD slapped on it.

Faster than our old Snap-On, love the large screen size also!
Was stuck between the Ms906Pro and the aMs906Max for a bit. Both are Maxisys so it wasn’t obvious at first. Sent a quick message to support and they broke down the differences for me. The 906 Max is basically the newer one with stronger hardware, so l decided to go that route. Main reason for me was the screen size, I used smaller 0BD2 scanners for years and they're not great after a full day in the shop. This one is just easier on my eyes! When it showed up l tried it on a few cars right away, Hooked up fast with no issues, it's quicker than my 8 year old Snap-On scanner. With that one you're sometimes just waiting for it to load, this one responds pretty quick. Had it about two weeks now. Makes day to day diagnostics a ittle smoother, starting and charging tests are straight forward. Reads and clears codes without dragging, freeze frame is easy to pull up. Menus are simple enough. I've used it on a handful of jobs already and it's been doing what l need.
