Fun to Use
When we got a new refrigerator the ice maker wasn't included, and the kit that went to that model had terrible reviews. I decided to go with a countertop ice maker instead and got this one when it was on sale. So far, it works great. I waited 3 hours after unboxing to allow the oil to settle, cleaned the basket and wiped out the inside. After filling the compartment with water and turning it on, it spit out the first round of ice in around ten minutes. (I threw this first batch away just to be safe.) It was amazing to me how much ice I got for the amount of water I put in! Every couple of rounds of ice, I would empty the basket into a container in the freezer and did this until it was full. The ice did stick together some, but was pretty easy to break apart. Once it was finished, I emptied the remaining water from the ice machine (there's a plug on the bottom of the machine that you pull out to drain it into a bowl) and dried the inside. I plan on using this machine about every two days based on our current ice usage. I've seen some people saying they keep the machine going 24/7. I also see some people complaining about the machine dying in less than a year. I don't know for sure that those two things are related, but I imagine keeping it running constantly isn't the best idea. At the quick rate that it creates ice, I'm also not sure why you would do that. Keep making ice until you have the amount you need, then drain and dry it for next time. I imagine it will last far longer this way. I'll keep using it in this manner and update this review when it finally dies to let you know how long it lasted using this method. UPDATE: Well, it died. Lasted from July 2023 until December 2024, so around a year and a half. Honestly, we took really good care of it and only used filtered water, so it's a biiiiiit disappointing that it already quit working. It worked well and made a lot of ice for the year and a half it worked, so I suppose it's up to you to judge if this sounds worth it to you! I wouldn't count on it lasting longer than this, though.

Love having fresh ice
I have been looking at buying an ice maker for a while. Ice from the store melts on the way home, and sticks together. Also the ice goes stale after a while. I bought this table top ice maker and could not be happier. It produces fresh delicious ice on demand. Now I can add ice to my tea or lemonade, or just enjoy a nice glass of ice water. So far I have only used the small cubes. The ice takes 6-8 minutes to form. I get about 6 bullet sized pieces of ice at a time. I just let it go through a few cycles, and then harvest the ice. Extra ice goes into the freezer to be used later in the day. A few things you should know. First, you need to wash it out with soapy water before the first use. Second, you have to let the machine sit on a level surface for at least two hours to let the refrigerant gas inside to settle. (Thatโs the same reason why you never transport a refrigerator or freezer on its side). If you donโt wait, the machine will prematurely stop working. I washed mine and let it settle for 24 hours before the first use. Third, the ice maker is not a freezer. You need to remove the ice or it will soon melt. Fourth, this size is for personal use. Forget providing ice for a party etc. It just doesnโt make ice in large enough quantities. I think it would work for a family, provided people didnโt mind a little wait. Also, I think you could easily set one of these up at your office at work, as it is small and compact. Finally, I am using bottled water to make my ice. I find that the ice tastes better and I donโt have to worry about hard water deposits in my machine.

Amazing at first
UPDATE: After about 3 months, the "Add Water" light stopped working and I realized that there is no difference between the "small" and "large" sizes. We still use it though. Might go and find another one with smaller cubes. Original: My boyfriend and I go through ice a lot and having to refill the one ice tray over and over again and wait for it to freeze is SUCH a pain. Then we found this ice maker and honestly, all of our problems are pretty much solved. I was skeptical at first because the ice basket was so small, but it makes ice so quickly that it doesn't even matter. I can use the entire ice basket to fill my giant water bottle and then come back and use the refilled ice for a smoothie. It's so convenient! And the cool part is that it recycles the water, so if the ice melts, it drops back into the water basin and reuses it to make more ice. You rarely have to refill the water! We are so grateful that we got this; definitely worth the buy.

Works great
I have been using this ice maker for 8 months without any issues. It works great and really cranks out the ice. I make several batches when I turn it on and bag each batch as it finishes and put it directly in the freezer. I find doing it that way gives it less chance to melt and stick together when it goes in the freezer. When I have enough in the freezer, I make another batch to use directly from the machine. It will melt in the machine if it sits too long - the machine does not have a freeze function. I have never had a problem with leaks. I like that it lets you know when you need to add water and when the ice compartment is full and that you can pick the size of ice you want to make. It is easy to empty - just pull the bucket out, dump it, and return it to the machine. It even comes with a scoop if you need some for a glass. It is very easy to clean and it takes up a very small amount of space. I enjoy using it and am very glad that I made the purchase. I plan to buy another one this spring to use on an outdoor porch!

Buy this!!!! It works so well and has lasted!
I bought this because I love iced coffees and wanted to not have to constantly be filling up those little trays for the freezer! This one lets you choose big or small cubes. It has a little indicator of when to add water and when the ice tray is full! It holds enough ice to make about 3 medium iced coffees at one time. It makes the ice pretty fast and the cubes stay frozen. Pro tip: use distilled water in it for nice, clear ice! I am so so happy I bought this. Worth every penny!!! I have mine running 24/7 and haven't had any issues so far! Update - purchased well over a year ago, and have had it running constantly, except for cleaning. Still going strong!

Makes ice quick
Love this ice maker and within mins of turning on I have ice. It's looks clean and fits great with all my other appliances on the counter top. The ice maker has an sensor that will stop if to much Ice is being made so you don't have to worry about iver flow. Also it keeps the ice for a few hours before melting. Keep in mind this isn't a freezer and won't keep the ice solid. What I do is have some freezer zip bags to store the unused ice for later use. You don't have to worry about filling over and over with water. It does have a fill line and shows you how much the water tank can hold. I would definitely recommend this ice maker
