black vs yellow?? price?? durability?? applications??

I ordered the yellow type of plug which has a different style of anchor for the cord than the black cord ends. I purchased these to repair an extension cord that puppy dog chewed the end off (unplugged luckily). These ends also worked to replace the end of a fan cord. The ends are good for the price but certainly not the same quality as a single set that cost $12.00 a piece.

Does this do a good job of sealing around the incoming power cord?

If you use the proper size cord

Is this product made in Communist China? Or where?

Is there some other China that I am not aware of?

Will this handle 1875 watts?

This device is rated at 15 amps which would be less than the required current for a load of 1875 watts (15.5+ amps). The safety code would require at least a 20 amp rated (plug) device. If the load is not continuous you might be able to get by with a low duty cycle, but that is exactly what burns down houses. If this were employed in unsupervised service the connection would undoubtedly deteriorate and generate heat and ultimately fire.
