I REALLY appreciate this ankle gel ice pack. It feels fabulous on my tendonitis ravaged ankle and foot. It feels tremendously cold at first, then i quickly adjust to the cold. The true cold lasts about 10-15 minutes, but if you leave it on longer, it keeps cool due to evaporation longer. It only takes about 20 minutes to chill it in the freezer, so I do approximately 15 minutes on my ankle, 20 minutes to chill, and it’s ready to be used again. Perfect. I know some reviewers said they wished it would stay cold longer, but it is not recommended to keep ice packs on longer than 10-20 minutes max, anyway, so I am cool with that. (Pun intended). It is also quite stretchy, which is great when putting it on. That would also help if your foot or ankle is very swollen. I have big calves - no issue here. I do not recommend walking in this, though, for safety reasons. Keep that foot elevated!

It’s not often that I go out of my way to write an Amazon review. This cold compress sock is heavenly! I have a serious issue with one ankle and my ankle swells and aches. Icing it was awkward at best until I found this cold compress sock. It is perfect! I bought the larger size because I did not want heavy compression. The compress sock is easy to slide on and very comfortable. (I do not walk around in it.) I found wearing a thin lightweight sock on my foot before placing the compress is helpful. My ankle gets chilled even with the sock on. One thing I would suggest to this company is to create another version of the cold compress sock with a zipper going up the front seam. It would be great for people who have had ankle surgery to place on and take off easily. I may be having surgery on my ankle and thought adding a separating zipper to this seam. Just a thought….

Broke my ankle and this was the only relief with ice that worked for me. The sleeve was flexible not too tight to put on without a lot of pain. Fit inside my boot and gave me better protection and comfort from the gel than the air cast. Cannot recommend enough!

Super easy to use and takes swelling down. If you have a slim ankle these aren't going to compress. They don't stay cold for a very long time, but they are SUPER cold out of the freezer in my opinion. I only needed for one ankle and got two. I just saw that they have sleeves and in hindsight would probably have just gotten those instead of the ankle style since you can use the sleeves on the ankle. I am going to buy the sleeves for my mother and considering the headwrap.

I had major foot surgery less than a year ago and have been looking for the perfect ice pack ever since. This bad boy is breathable, comfortable, and stays cold for about 30 minutes at a time. I can walk on it, wear it at work if I need to, and even sleep in it (on accident) without straining my foot in a certain position. Falling asleep with a tediously wrapped ice pack on your messed up foot will bode for a horrible next day. I will say it fits loosely, but not slipping off. I wear a size 10 shoe and purchased size large. It covers literally everywhere you need it to and only takes about 2 hours to fully freeze, unlike regular ice packs that take the whole day. The ONLY con to this is that someone with a fresh injury or surgery might not be able to slide this onto their foot as it is one big toeless frozen sock, but it does not get hard like regular ice. But if I’m being totally honest it’s so big that I think I would’ve been able to handle putting it on about 2/3 months post-op. If you’re debating buying this, do it!

I bought these last year. Watching gymnastics, I noticed a lot of the athletes using cooling compression ice pack sock. I immediately looked these up on Amazon. I am a cashier and stand on my feet for 8 hours a day. It was taking a toll on my feet and ankles. I bought two and put them on for about 15 minutes before bed. The results have been significant, less swelling in my lower legs, ankles and feet. Also, in the summer, on really hot days/nights, the relief on cooling myself down is nice.

This product is great! I broke my leg and ankle. I went through a few variations of ice packs until I found this. This is just right, because it is like wearing ice socks - perfect for reducing swelling and inflammation right where it is needed - not close/near as inadequate ice packs are capable of doing.

This is so much easier to use than an ice pack. It conforms to the foot and feels wonderful. No more fighting to get the ice pack to stay in the right spot. Stays cool for at least 20 minutes which is the medically recommended duration for icing.
