This pool cleaner is a great tool to have. It saves time while slowly keeping the bottom of your pool clean. It’s completely cordless which is very convenient. It moves around on its own and parks itself neatly by a pool wall when the battery runs low. It even comes with a hook attachment for your pool pole to make retrieval easier. Cleaning-wise, it does a pretty good job on flat surfaces. It sucks up dirt, small debris, and leaves without issues. Keep in mind that this is designed to work on flat bottom pools only so if your pool isn’t perfectly flat, the robot will struggle to climb up any slopes. The cleaning path is a bit random so I've noticed that it will miss spots occasionally but overall, it keeps the pool floor tidy. The filter basket also fills up fast if there’s a lot of debris. You'll need to pull it out and empty it mid-cleaning if that's the case. Thankfully the filter is quite easy to remove and rinse. Runtime is pretty good and right around the advertised 90 minutes and it operates quietly. Build-wise, it feels well-designed. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and even looks pretty cool. It also comes with spare parts and the instructions are clear. Overall, If you have a flat bottom pool, I would recommend this robot vacuum.

I purchased this in late March. Ive had nothing but trouble from this pool vacuum. I'm so fed up with it, I want to throw it against a wall and shatter it into 1000 pieces! Its constantly losing charge and not working for the entire time it claims it will. At most, I get 45 mins out of it. It doesn't pick up sand nor dead algae, just pushes it all around the pool. It barely picks up small leaves half the time. You can't reuse it in a very timely manner after using it because you have to wait for it to completely dry out b4 hooking it back up to its charger and waiting for it to recharge. Its difficult to open, clean out, then reassemble for the next use. I have a 24 foot round above ground pool and this thing is honestly absolutely useless! I rarely if ever leave a bad review, but this product deserves it. Do yourself a favor and purchase a pool vac at a higher price point that will do what it says it will. *EDIT; after posting my review, the seller (Aiper) reached out to me to make things right. They sent me a replacement vacuum the Scuba E1 for free. I'm delayed in updating my review because we wanted to use it for awhile and see how well it does. We have a 24 ft round above ground pool and this Scuba E1 is phenomenal! Pics in my review are for this machine (b4 it cleaned, during, and after). It is much stronger than the vacuum originally purchased, has a nice basket with a tight mesh so things don't escape. It absolutely runs its full 90 min time unlike the version we first purchased. It picks up the sand that is constantly in the bottom of the pool (we live in Florida) and any and all leaves from our many nearby trees, too. It works fast and complete. We are 100% more than satisfied with the Scuba E1. More than anything, we are blown away by the more than excellent communication from Aiper's customer service as well as their dedication to making sure we have a product we can be happy with. Thank you so much, Aiper! When we need to purchase again in the future, we will absolutely buy another Aiper.

My oval 18x33 above ground pool was installed late October of last year so it was just filled and covered for the winter. I bought this pool vacuum just before opening season and I didn't have very high hopes for it but thought it was worth a try. I have been shockingly impressed. I have not used the manual vacuum that came with my pool, box has not even been opened. This little machine is amazing!!! It charges faster than the reported time. Mine is fully charged in 70 minutes and runs for about 2 hrs. It always docks at the side of the pool for easy access. I do have to run it about 3 or 4 times to thoroughly clean the entire pool. It picks up sand and general grit, small twigs, most leaves, and even the occasional pebble and dead insect. I have had no experience with any algae so far so I can't comment on that. This thing has been worth every dollar I paid for it. So if you are on the fence about making this purchase, stop hesitating just do it!!!

My partner and I have a division of labour when it comes to our pool. She 100% enjoys it, I 100% maintain it! LOL Now, don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge her enjoyment one bit; I have things I enjoy that she doesn't, and I'm happy to maintain the pool because I know she enjoys it. There is one task that I don't enjoy, though, and that is vacuuming the pool! I'm a ginger and I'm just not cut out to stand out in the blazing sun for that long, so I look VERY forward to dropping this little fella in there next season! Unfortunately, the pool is closed up for the year, so I gave this a try in my bathtub (it was pretty fun, not gonna lie!) and I feel like I got a good idea of how this operates. The concept is simple, inlet ports on the bottom have little brushes that sweep along the bottom to stir up debris that is then pulled into the unit where it can't get past the filter screen. The clean water then exhausts through the top ports, which provide propulsion for the machine. Its not easy to see in the video, but I threw a handful of navy beans in the bottom of the tub and the vacuum sucked them up almost immediately and got the last couple on a second pass. It is much like the older style Roomba vacuums in that it doesn't do any mapping, it moves itself around at random and, after a period, it will have vacuumed the entire pool. It accomplishes this randomness by directing the clean water through one of the two exhaust ports for an amount of time, stopping, then exhausting water through the opposite port for an amount of time before switching again. The time interval keeps changing, which helps provide that random movement and coverage for the device. This random pattern cleaning worked for my old roomba, so I'm sure it will work for this vac too! (Much like my old roomba, I imagine that it will take a couple of cycles to actually cover every square inch of the pool, so running it more frequently than I would manually vacuum will be key to a clean pool.) Cleaning the filter is a snap, it lifts out and the unit and the filter can then just be rinsed clean. It also comes with a hook attachment for my cleaning pole which will make getting it in and out of the pool a snap. I'll update my review once I get the pool opened again in the spring and I've had a chance to put this in action, should I encounter anything that warrants it. Customer image

So with spring finally beginning, our pool has thawed and there is no more ice, leaving a dirty floor to be seen within our pool. Figured this would be a great test for this little new cleaner, since my old one died at the end of the last summer. Quite the looker, this little vacuum comes with spare wheels and inserts as well as a set of brushes that you need to slot underneath it. The charger is included and of course, different from my older one. Entry holes to pick up trash, are quite smaller than my older model and I am worried some maple leaves for example, which can get quite big, may end up clogging it. Time will tell. So charged it up to 100% and dumped it in the pool to see what it could do. So everyone knows, my pool is an above ground 21 feet pool (round) with a slight incline as most pools have from the middle of it towards the edges. The description does not mention it, but the included instructions do mention, that this is not made for a pool with slopes, for example a inground pool with a deep end. You unit will get stuck at the bottom. I noticed that issue, with the little incline of my pool where going down towards the deeper end, unit will be fast. But going back up, it can hardly make it so ever slowly. Thus draining the battery quicker and not getting a full run i fear. The brushes, helped a little. But being again an above ground pool, with vinyl padded flooring, it is not perfectly even and thus not scraping evenly. I pulled it out twice within the run, to empty it out and was happy to find it had picked up quite a bit. So yes, a bit slow for my liking. But I can dump it in, do something else while it does its thing, and repeat the process when it is recharged.
