I used this to wall mount a 65" LCD weighing 50 lbs. I had some concerns after reading the reviews, but have purchased other smaller Swift mounts and they have been decent. So here are my comments in part from some of the reviews I have read. The wall section of the mount is 18" wide and will span across 2 studs with standard 16" spacing. There are plenty of mounting slots so you should always have a place to attach to the stud regardless of placement. The screws that came with it for wall mounting are small and I wouldn't trust them. I purchased (4) 5/16 x 3" lag screws and cut washers from the local hardware store and used them instead with excellent results. Don't forget to pre-drill before using lag screws. There are multiple adjustments to move the mounting arm left or right, about 1" increments. There isn't one directly on center however, they are split. Assembly was easy, but watch out because when you pull the rod to adjust the mounting arm, lots of pieces come out and you need to be ready to capture them. The attachment to the TV was easy; mine had a 400x400 VESA pattern and I used the screws provided with the TV and no spacers. Make sure you pay attention to the TV brackets and get your screws on the outsides for easy adjustment after the TV is on. You;ll also do well to have a large/ long Phillips head screwdriver for this. Once everything was tightened up I've been happy with the mount and it stays put. The only negative I would say is that you get what you pay for; it's a decent quality mount and works fine in my living room, but I would never use this on a client site. Even at 1/2 of the rated weight (50lb TV vs 100lb rating), the mounting arm has a slight droop and the TV doesn't sit perfectly level. Keeping the TV center of gravity close to the point where the mounting arm attaches to the wall plate helps, but for full extension there is some droop. Notably the elbow joint of the mounting arm uses small Allen head bolts for which the Allen keys are not included in the package (only the larger Allen keys (2 of the same size) for the mounting arm - wall bracket interface are included). The elbow joint could be tightened a bit to reduce droop, but at the expense of mobility and I think most of it is in the steel not the joints. Higher quality steel, or perhaps thicker steel in the arms, would be a good revision for this mount. I have no concern about my TV coming down and the mount is definitely stable, its just some droop with no wobble. So while a $250 Chief-Milestone or Peerless dual swing arm mount would be rock solid and I can do chin-ups at full extension on those without any droop, I couldn't spend that kind of money on this project. So for the price, this unit is good enough for my home and I'm happy with it.Bottom Line:I'm an AV professional and work for one of the largest integrators in the nation. I've specified, installed, and managed AV projects for Fortune-100 companies and high profile clients with mission critical facilities. This mount isn't quite what I would spec nor install for those commercial clients, but if I had to hang another 65" LCD in my own home, I would order this mount again without hesitation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good for the price *by J***J on Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2014* 5th star withheld until I've had this more than a few days, and because I had to make a couple parts substitutions. Mount feels very sturdy, and holds my 70-80lbs, 52in plasma screen securely, with those few modifications.Pros:-nice heavy powder coat, parts fit together well-Swing arm movement is smooth, once the tension is adjusted in the joints.-Holds TV at full extension with no apparent trouble (be mindful of leverage!)-Installation instructions were easy to understand (could have been a bit larger overall for better readability)-All hardware included, even the wall anchors...Cons:-I did have too buy some washers and cap-head M8 screws, because the holes on my TV were recessed, so I was worried the attachment arms might crack the back plastic of the set (no metal-to-metal contact otherwise).-I did not use the drywall anchors, or the included screws and washers, and I would hesitate to recommend them. I ended up substituting with 4ea, 1/4" x 4" lag screws, and 1" washers. Whatever you do, be careful to get your measurements right, and find the centers of your studs!-In spite of my best efforts, there is a few degrees (phone says 7*) of down-angle still on the set, because the attachment arms will only adjust so far, for some reason. Perhaps with a lighter screen, I would have been able to take up the last remaining slack?Neither pro nor con:-I would recommend taking your measurements, mounting the wall plate ONLY to the wall, and THEN attach the swing arm assembly afterward.-The attachment arms can go on the set immediately; they have top hooks, so that once everything else is on the wall, it is like hanging a picture--catch the top lip with the hooks, and the bottom brackets have set-screws to catch the bottom lip.-When putting the attachment arms on the TV, be sure your screws face to the OUTSIDE, so you can get a screwdriver in there from the outside edge of your set! That is, treat each as a left- or right-side arm.-I would definitely set the angle in the attachment arms at full-upright to start, and tighten the locking screws well--the weight of the set will bring it down some seemingly no matter what you do.-BEFORE mounting the TV, confirm the level of the wall plate, and TV plate--I had to adjust the 4 large bolts to make them level relative to one another. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars This is fine if you never want to move your TV *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2018* The only downfall to this mount, and this may not matter for most, after the rack peices are screwed to the back of the TV, you "hang" the TV on the bracket of the mount. The top portion is more of a hook and hangs where as the bottom portion, you have to tighten a screw to secure the two together. This is fine if you never want to move your TV. I mounted mine outside and will bring it inside when I am away or during storms. I wish it had quick release levers instead of needing a screwdriver to remove the TV.
