Would this work for rest stop breaks?** A: I realize this is an old question. However, for anyone considering this, I wouldn’t recommend counting on your cat to relieve themselves outdoors while on a leash. I walk my two indoor cats regularly, and they often rush to the litter box when we come inside. They have never once “used the bathroom” outdoors. I’ve considered bringing a litter box outside with me and start a training process, but I believe it’s something that would take time. **Q: is there a big difference between med and large?** A: There's a big difference between medium and large also there's a big difference between small and medium. I have a large for my 16 pound calico and a medium for my 10 pound Burmese. These harnesses are not escape proof though and need to be kept snug fitting around the cats body. Now, with that said the Petsafe Come With Me Kitty harness's are so much better than the harnesses that are sold in city pet's and big box stores in town. **Q: My kitten currently weighs about 5.5 lbs & is growing fast. My question is whether I should purchase the small or medium size?** A: My cat weighs 10 lbs. and needed a large set at the smallest setting. On the box, it says that the small size will accommodate 9-11 inches in girth, and medium will accommodate 10.5-14 inches in girth. If I were you, I'd measure your cat and go from there. Good luck! **Q: My cat is a nut. He wants to go outside. Is this easy to train for him?** A: I would suggest putting just the halter part of this on supervised in the house to start with until your cat gets used to it & more freely & will at least jump up on a chair. In the beginning my Miss Lucy would take a step, fall over sideways & not even try to walk. After several sessions she got used to it. Then add the leash in the house to make sure they don't slip their harness & get used to it. I add another regular leash to the bungee leash when we go for walks. Miss Lucy does very well with it now. She travels with me this is a great option whenever we make stops. Please remember it is not safe to let them wear the harness unsupervised as it is not a breakaway like cat collars since that would defeat the purpose of having your cat on leash. Wearing a breakaway collar with her tag works fine with this kind of harness. I think I have tried about every king of harness & this one by far the best with the bungee leash. On sizing, Miss Lucy is 11-12 lbs. & wears a large. Mayzee is about 8 lbs. & the medium fits her.
