A FULLY ILLUSTRATED, HUMOROUS GIFT BOOK FOR FANS OF THE ALIEN FRANCHISE Aboard the USCSS Nostromo, Jonesy leads a simple life enjoying The Company cat food and chasing space rodents. Until one day, his cryostasis catnap is rudely interrupted. The humans have a new pet and it's definitely not house-trained. In space, no one can hear you meow. This full-color, illustrated book offers a cat's eye view of all the action from the movie Alien. With new and original artwork by artist Rory Lucey, this is the perfect gift for all Alien fans (and cat lovers). Review: Probably the best Alien franchise tie-in...ever? - The original Alien is my favorite movie. There has been... so much... alien franchise tie-in media. Comics, novels, merch, the Alien vs. Predator movies....just so much *meh*. I've consumed a lot of it. The game Alien Isolation used to be my favorite, but now this weird little book is. It's...delightful. A surprisingly accurate retelling of the story of Alien, except through the ideas of a doofy little cat. I bought it expecting a one-note-joke children's book to put on my "shelf of aliens crap." Instead I got something that made me—briefly—happy. Here's what makes it brilliant: The events of Alien are accurately depicted here. Yup, that one too. But from the adorable picture-book of the Nostromo's cat, Jonesy. And told without words, just lovely little watercolor squares. One of the most creative and effective genre mash-ups I've ever stumbled onto. Buy it, if only to support the author. Review: Jonesy! - If you are a fan of the Alien franchise, this book is for you! The illustrations are adorable and the story is cute, too!

It's a Cat's World
I’m not a cat person, but I thought this would be fun. What did it all look like to Jonesy? Kind of the “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” version of Alien! And it is fun. Jonesy is a cat, and cats don’t talk, so there’s no text. It’s all graphics, and a graphical novel seems like a great way to relate Jonesy’s experience. The alien is a disturbance in a nice life on board the Nostromo. Regular meals, as much human company as you really want, and a pretty quiet, cozy existence. Then there’s this thing. It’s annoying — you can’t play with it, you can’t eat it (after all, it’s got acid for blood), and it sure doesn’t look like it’s going to contribute anything positive at all. In fact, it seems downright unfriendly! In the end, the humans deal with it. They do that kind of stuff.

Book is great, shipped loose on a large box damaging corners
The book's exactly what I expected, very cute story, no words because it's a cat. Really nice art and a great tie into the alien franchise. But they shipped it in a box with a couple bubbles and the corners were damaged. Get this from a local retailer if you care about the shape of the book, or buy a bunch of things with it so it will be packed better.

Are you an ALIEN fan.....AND a "Cat Person" ?
Then this is the PURrrr-fect (sorry for the blatent pun) conpanion book for your ALIEN collection shelf. It's basically the entire Ridley Scott cinematic masterpiece as told from the perspective of the Nostromo's token mascot JONES.....the ship's cat. Cute, often funny, rediculously adorable.....AND quite relatable to "cat people" on numberous occasions, this book will keep you grinning until the last page....I promiss ! Seriously....if you are in fact a veracious ALIEN fan (and a devoted "cat person") then this book certainly falls under your "I NEED THIS" catagory !

Amazing!
This book is mostly pictures. But if you love the movie and cats you will love this book. Not only does the author capture the spirit of the movie, but at the same time he captures everything we know about our cat friends. If one was to actually have a Nostromo, a cat named Jonesy, a nasty xenomorph and hidden cameras everywhere. This is what you would see. Well done and beautifully illustrated. Worth every penny and then some.

It's a good book. You should buy it.
I love this book. There's no dialogue at all, just a wonderful, purely visual story. What was in the background in the movie is suddenly in the foreground, and vice versa. I love Jonesy's epic leaps, his expressive face, his confidence (both on his own and around others), his preoccupation with the simple comforts in life, and his occasional vomiting. I got this book for myself, and at 80 pages it's a good read both for kids, cat owners, and fans of Alien.

Excellent take on the other survivor of the Nostromo.
Excellent combination of the original Alien story line and Jonesy doing Cat like things. Kept my interest throughout with the cartoon like drawings really telling a story we all know and love. Recommended, had a hoot checking out the book, and have revisited a number of times.

A great addition to the lore of the first alien.
Jonesy is honestly so goated imagine scaring off a xenomorph cause it slept in the same room as you.
