Works great
This item works great! Love the clearvu and sidevu images! Wish it had maps for it. The garmin community maps are ok...Would definitely recommend this as a fish finder. The GPS works, it will get you to where you want to go but if there are any turns or obstacles in the way you need to plot way points around them cause it only gives you straight line guidance...

Very crisp and clear.
Took my boat out yesterday to break in my new outboard and gotta say the screen quality is great!!! Even in the sun the screen is easily seen. Even saw this sunken boat very clearly. For the money this is a great fish finder. The GPS is very clear also. This unit is easy to operate, install and the quality is second to none!!!

One of the best fish finders for price and function
I did a lot of research online before purchasing this Unit. It works great! I have it mounted on my Kayak and the images are clear and bright. The GPS is fast and works fine. Remember this is not a GPS Map unit! It is a track plotter. There is a big difference in function and price. Go to Garmin's web site and learn about the difference. This Unit is easy to set up and use. I down loaded the Owners Manuel from Garmin's Web site after ordering this unit and was ready to set it up and go when it arrived. You will need to read your owners manuel several times to learn to use all of its features. The only issue that I have with this Unit is the glare and reflection on the screen. It is like a mirror..On the water there are no problems with screen freeze or the unit locking up. I would highly recommend this Unit A great buy for the price and function.

SWEET
This is Sweet! It got here about a week early and it’s very easy to hook up everything in about 2 hrs. Working good at home so I will put it in lake and let you know good it really works. Hi yes this Striker 7sv works great I’m fishing in a lake now so only using this for fishing and to get back to the exact spot , you can use it by latitude and longitude or just go into the route and steer your boat to the exact spot !! Very easy to use it’s step-by-step navigation. Thanks very much GARMIN!!

Easy all around
Easy to install, easy to use, and I love the screen. I put this on my 2012 Bass Tracker 175TXW and it's an awesome pairing. Honestly, it's everything I wanted. IT DOES NOT COME WITH MAPS. That was perfect for me, though, because I fish a lot of smaller lakes and rivers in lower Michigan where pre-made bathymetric maps aren't available. With the Striker SV 7 I can make my own maps on the fly! I love the side vu for scanning on the move and looking for any major structure and the traditional / clear vu paired together when trolling to pick out bottom composition from fish arches. So far it's a 10/10 winner for me!

Most for your money!
If maps are not an issue, I believe this is the best unit for your money. The unit has a really clear picture and starts up much faster than my Lorance.
