Bonide Vine & Stump Killer With Applicator Concentrate 8 Oz, 2 Pack

This product is doing a very effective job of killing off the decorative ivy growing all over my home’s foundation. It was easy to apply, although you do need to have some kind of sprayer apparatus to use it to kill off vines. I did not try it on any stumps. The pricing on this product was pretty much middle of the road for this kind of product. I was nervous that it would not work, but now it’s a few weeks later and nearly all of the ivy I sprayed it on is dead. The effects seemed unimpressive for the first few days, but now, a couple of weeks later, I am impressed. It does not work on other types of vegetation, I will have to buy brush killer for that.

Took a week or two to kill, but it did. Application was easy.

Bottles were really small, 2 didn’t even cover enough weeds. Price a little high for size.

My experience: We are doing a habitat restoration project on 10 acres. We have wonderful native plants and trees, but they are threatened by non-native, aggressive invaders. This Bonide product is an essential "weapon" in my arsenal to remove invasive plants. I cut the vines and plants like bushkiller, Japanese honeysuckle, and coral ardisia about 1 inch from where they emerge from the soil, and paint the cut tip with the handy brush that comes in this bottle. This is a targeted way to use herbicide rather than spraying or broadcasting it. It is most effective at killing the root using this method, and only requires one drop so it goes a long way. The bottle is small enough I can carry it in the pocket of my Carhartt work pants, and the paintbrush in the cap makes it easy to use. I have one complaint, and that is that the last 2 shipments the bottles (even with tape on the lids) have LEAKED. This is unsafe and I am removing it from subscribe and save because it can contaminate other items in the order. Herbicides need to be treated with great care - they are poisons! The lids need to be taped but also the whole package needs to be well padded such as with bubble wrap. In the future, I will order it alone with no other products in the order. I do like this product, have recommended it to others, but I want it to arrive safely with no leakage.

I moved into a house about 3 years ago and have been plagued with pesky trees and vines growing along my fence line and garage. I tried "natural" solutions but nothing worked. This is super easy to apply, extremely effective at killing the plant after applying to any part of the branch/stump. And, I am proud to say that I no longer have trees ruining my property. The amount of liquid you get here can kill quite a lot of trees, or a couple really stubborn ones (I am looking at you, mulberry). Definitely worth the purchase and I definitely will purchase again.
