There is a saying, "Where there is money, there is power" yet when it comes to real power, that lies in knowledge and wisdom. King Solomon was said to be the wisest man to ever live and you can read all about him in this prestigious set of encyclopedias. You can learn about apples, God, zebras and everything in between. You might even become wiser than Solomon if you give Britannica a try. This is the last edition that was printed on paper and in a hard copy. So the question is ,when you buy this set, is not do I want power, but how much power do I want? Review: Blatant lies and cheating - I bought this specifically because the website description repeatedly stated that itโs a 2010 edition (printed in July, 2009). What I received is the 1991 edition. Now I have to lug this heavy box of 120lbs to return the books! Review: Britannica continues to lead the way - The Britannica encyclopedia is one set of books I would recommend be a part of every families library. For fast and complete reference information, Britannica has always led the way. The new set continues that tradition.

Not what was in the picture. Not new.
I received these thinking it was a new set, it was not new. It was not the set in the picture. I would have not bought this set if it was under $50.00.

Beware - 15th Edition spans many publication years
Although the item's description says 2010, the 15th edition Encyclopedia Brittanica I received all shows (c) 1994, which is not very close to 2010. In fact, the 15th edition was first issued in 1974 and continued through 2010. The Library of Congress Catalog Card Number on the 1994 15th Edition is 92-85083. The ISBN is 0-85229-591-X. The item I received was still in its new state and excellent condition, but I was very disappointed that it was 16 years older than apparent from the item description. I recommend you ask the seller for a copy of the copyright page to see what year you are actually getting. I have been unable to find a year-by-year listing of the ISBN numbers so that you know you are receiving the actual year you think you are buying.

the best encyclopedia
What's to complain about. The finest books in their last print edition. Priced reasonably and shipped safely. I considered this a bargain.

Can't unsubscribe from premium service. Tow months of no contact from customer support.
Britannica is the worst ever and allowing you to unsubscribe. Their prompts tell you to use account maintenance features that are not provided. For two months they have failed to respond to voice and email messages. They cut you off on calls. They are the worst ever.

Excellent reference
Encyclopaedia Britannica is an excellent reference for home and a very good starting point for seeking information on any subject. It is useful for the whole family. I strongly recommend it. It is a true Encyclopaedia unlike some of the online ones. I purchased my first in Baghdad in 1984, and this is my second. Both are worth every penny.
