Exceptional is the one word that best sums up my experience with both the product and the company. This is the 4th dehumidifier I've had in this location. It's replacing a Shinco unit that died early. While this is not as quiet as the Shinco, it works an order of magnitude better. Just a bit more fan noise means much better air circulation and a more effect unit. This does an amazing job of removing moisture and what puzzles me most is the air smells so fresh ! I've not experienced with with any other dehumidifier. When my other unit goes, it will be replaced with one from hOmeLabs. I had a shipping issue with my order and needed help to resolve it. I am frankly amazed at just how good their customer support is, second to none. They put a good deal of time and effort into taking care of this issue. This is not the level of customer support I expect from an online vendor. It's more like what I've experienced from a small, hometown store keeper. Exceptional !

There's over 50,000 reviews for the Homelabs dehumidifiers of various types, this is for the 4,000 Sq Ft with Pump that I bought for my basement. It's just junk! When I received it I made sure it sat unplugged where I was going to use it for 24 hours as the instructions said to. Originally my basement's humidity was around 55% and I set the dehumidifier for 45%. It ran for 2 1/2 days and it did take humidity out of the air but I doubt it was the 50 pints per day it is advertised it can do. It would short cycle, a complete cycle of running and totally off was 10 minutes and started back up again; I timed it multiple times. It would turn off the compressor 3% lower than the set value which is OK but as soon as the compressor kicked off and it was running on just the fan the humidity would start to climb. The humidity would continue to climb once the fan turned off and in about a minute or so the compressor would come on. While it was dehumidifying It didn't push out hot air but barely warm air but it was working somewhat. After a week, it was working the same and by that time the humidity was close to set point based on a humidity sensor I had tracking it. It's 2 weeks old and it stopped working - I'm returning it. Maybe I got a bad one but I would suggest you don't waste your time with this.

We purchased this dehumidifier in May 2022 to use in a finished basement. It performed flawlessly and quite quietly until late October 2023 when it started icing up continuously. Although the unit was more than 5 months out of warranty we did contact hOme Labs for help. hOme customer service was absolutely great. Even though out of warranty they replaced the dehumidifier at their suggestion. Within a week we had the new dehumidifier and it is working perfectly.

I have this in my furnished basement (large) and it works very well. Drops the humidity in the basement by 20%. Works great!

My wife and I purchased this unit that is rated for 4,000 ft², and also has a pump. It replaced a 12-year-old Samsung unit that was manual empty only. So let's start out with the cons. If you're going to use the bucket, the bucket is very small and will need emptied often. Another con is that the directions for the unit are not very clear, or well written at all. Lastly, I do not think that this unit could handle appropriate moisture removal for a 4,000 ft² space. My basement is about 650 ft² And sometimes it's struggles. Now, grant you I live on the Ohio/Pennsylvania / West Virginia panhandle and in the summer, it is quite humid. Most days it pumps water just fine into our utility sink. Some days though, it maintains a humidity level of about 60% even though it's set at 35%. Now, keep in mind, it's also 90 to 95% humidity outside on some days. So let's get on to the pros. I love the fact that I do not have to empty the machine. I love the fact that it, for the most part, maintains the set humidity level. I love the fact that it has a light that reminds me to clean the filter. I love the fact that it has a turbo and a regular mode. I love the fact that it is so quiet. I love the fact that my basement remains fairly dry. I love the fact that the amount of mold, mildew, and just that old basement smell no longer exist. I love the price. Now, let's talk about longevity. If it holds up it's well worth the price. My Samsung was about twice as much and I had 12 good years of continuous use. I hope this helps somebody.
