I’m a pescatarian, if you’re not familiar, it just basically means I don’t consume land animals. It’s hard to make sure that you’re getting enough protein at times and I love having these handy tins of kippers that are so easily available for me! No dishes to wash, just the fork. It does not get easier than that! They are tasty, nutritious and economical. I highly recommend this product!

Five stars because it hits it out of the park with the fish itself-- low sodium and tastes good. I've re-ordered several time already and expect to re-order pretty much forever. Alas, their can quality is substandard. The cans don't open properly and often the tab itself gets ripped off. I order other canned fish and this brand has the most disappointing cans of them all (when it comes to opening it). I'm very annoyed with how awful the cans are to open. But, I tolerate the poor cans because the herring itself is so good. I would still heartily recommend. But be careful with the cans, they're not easy to open properly and the empty can is a finger-cutting hazard — dispose as soon as possible. Stay safe.

I enjoy these for a snack. They are in their juices, so no oil is added. Smokey flavor adds to the taste.

My favorite kippers- no chemicals. Good with eggs, good in salads, add to garden fresh veggies, mix them in an omelet or casserole. A versatile fish can be used as a good protein in any number of ways. Firm texture, good degree of smoke. Perfect size for a meaty sandwich with a bit of teriyaki and cucumber on a hearty bread or straight out of the can. Any way you like it this is a good staple food worth keeping stocked. Tender. These are seriously so good. The flavor is really nice and smoky without being overwhelming, and they’re not too oily like some canned fish can be. I also really liked that there weren’t any bones to deal with, which made them super easy to eat. Just open the can and you’re good to go. Overall, I’d definitely get these again. The taste, texture, and convenience are all really solid.
