Mahabhringraj Ramakrishna Pharma Scalp Massaging Oil, 200 ml

One of the best hair products to have! This oil has become a favorite staple in our home. Not only does it make your hair super soft, it really helps with growth and also tames frizz! I use a tiny bit on my hair after it's dry also because it tames my frizzies. Nice on dry or chapped skin as well. Heals, soothes, smells good! I must say the smell was something I had to learn to appreciate more later on...it smells really good to me now though and smells a bit Indian food - like. But not foody smelling in a bad way! Hard to explain, but trust me - it smells nice. You won't smell like B.O., so no worries! Just ethnic. Nice. This oil is something I intend on purchasing again and again!

I can’t speak on overall hair growth, but I can share what I’ve personally noticed. 1. My scalp stops itching when I use this oil. 2. It makes my hair incredibly soft. I’ve been using it consistently for about two months, and it has helped the hair at my crown grow back after significant breakage. While I know oils technically don’t moisturize hair, for some reason this one really works for my hair and helps it retain moisture. For reference I have 3c-4a hair Fine strands, thick density.

Update Review: I waited 3 add days to receive product and was concerned regarding the consistency. I’ve since realized the consistency changes depending on stored temp (duh). After getting over my initial concern, I’ve since used this product and love it because it delivers on all product promises. Cures dandruff, induces scalp blood flow circulation, treats split ends, induces sleepiness, the list goes on. However my favorite compliment for this product is the yummy Ayurvedic spice smell. Truly satisfied with the results I’m seeing.

My husband and I both have been using this oil for several years, and while I wouldn't necessarily give credence to some of the incredible claims on the bottle (and must agree that the botanical smell is indeed quite strong), we both love it and find it perfect for our use, i.e. control frizzy hair, camouflage greys, condition and make hair look healthier and shiner in a second. I personally use it right after washing my hair and it helps control hair and frizz, as well as helps with the coarseness of "older" hair. I also find it does a fantastic job at blending grey hair (you can really tell the difference!) and hydrating/moisturizing hair, making it perfect as a leave-in conditioner. I tried it a couple of times as a hair/scalp treatment (following the instructions on the bottle), and I didn't find it made a difference (vs. applying a small quantity on damp or dry hair). But if you do use it as a hair/scalp treatment, be aware that you'll have a hard time rinsing it out. I love the fact that it's 99.99% natural (except for artificial color) and doesn't contain mineral oil like most of the other products out there. My only wishes: a bigger bottle (500 ml) and a new formula with no artificial color. TIP: 50% of the formula is coconut oil, which solidifies under 76°F. Usually, a vigorous shake is all it takes to get the oil back to its liquid state, but you might need to warm it between your hands or keep it under running warm water for a few seconds on cold days. I like to keep it in a glass bottle with a pump. The pump stem acts as a "separator" when I shake the oil and despite living in New England, I've never have any issues with the oil solidifying to the point I cannot use it.

I've had it for a couple weeks so far and I love it! I put it in my hair for about 15-20 mins before bath. After the very first use I noticed how much softer and silkier my hair got! It is unbelievable, can even say miracle oil for dry split ends coarse hair! In my life I went through so many products and spent so much money on shampoos, oils, conditioners and masks, but this is the only one that truly works, you can the the difference after one use. I did not get it for my sleep, I wash it off after 15 mins, so I cant really say anything about it. I bought this product to regrow my hair after thyroid dysfunction hoping it will work, I'll give it at least 6 months to see if there is a difference. It also may be useful for others that I dye my hair light blond and the oil does not affect the color.

I bought this oil back in 2018 for the first time and now in 2024 again and I can tell you that this is not the same oil. The older formula used to be so much better and potent. It had an earthy smell and you could feel it working on your head. There was no artificial dye. The new version is probably so deluted with coconut oil that they had to put in dye to make it green like the original formula with the original oil. This newer version is also not as thick and it doesn't work the same. So dissapointed.

This is my nightly go-to massage oil! The smell is very herbal, but dissipates quickly and for the wonderful benefits (hair growth on my edges) I will gladly deal with the very light scent. Also, I noticed that it puts me right to sleep, the soothing affects are tremendous, so I make sure to apply it right before bed. To really boost my hair routine, I'll massage my scalp with the Mahabhrinraj oil (sometimes while inverted) and use coconut oil on my strands, separate into chunky twists, spritz hair lightliy with water or aloe vera gel, then apply a plastic cap (secured with a silk scarf) overnight if I have nothing to do the next day. This makes my hair extremely moisturized and stimulates the hair follicles with the natural body heat. Just note that your hair will be damp when the plastic cap is removed, which is why I reserve this for days when I do mind wearing my hair curly or have time the next day to deal with it.

Smells funny and was leaky when arrived. Hope it works as intended
