Faster write and seek speeds when compared to my previous 16x DVD writers.
Does exactly what it should and reads old CD's as well. It takes about 5 minutes to burn a 4gb .mp4 file onto a 4.7 single layer disc. I do not know how much time it should normally take but it sure is twice as fast as my LG and Samsung DVD writer. I cannot ask for more from a Rs980 unit. Time will tell how long this will last.

Genuine LITEON product
Easy to instal. Installation should be done in off PC condition. Also reset MB bios jumper by disconnecting once and reinserting same to register the firmware of the device. Device is also recognised on ubuntu OS, besides Windows.

Delivered on time as expected and installation was easy. no issue in last 3 weeks

delivered ASUS in place of LITEON...
ORDERED dvd writer of "LITEON"... But delivered "ASUS" dvd writer... but Its ok i only needed a dvd writer with good quality n speed.... so company does not matter much... But my preference was "liteon" due to its durability with rough tough usage nature...
