How can the front say "No Artificial Flavors" but this still use sucralose (artificial sweetener)?

They don't consider a "sweetener" as a "flavoring." They probably should, because sweeteners do affect the Flavor.

The package says there are 14 grams of sugar per serving (1/4 cup), which is 50% less sugar per serving as Raisins Original Dried Cranberries. That's all the information I can find on the package.

why do these taste so bad?

First of all, I don't think they taste bad. However raw cranberries are exceedingly tart. Maybe that is what you are tasting.
