Smooth Cycling, Accurate Weight 223/5.56
These snap caps are well made and weighted perfectly. They have removable and replaceable primers and a tool is included for this process. For visual safety, the dummy plastic projectile portion is bright yellow and the metal case is machined through with a large hole. Furthermore, the entire cartridge can disassembled by unscrewing the top from the base. Everything is handily stored in the plastic case in which they are shipped. You get 10 in a box for a reasonable price, and this is a nice quantity for practicing dry firing skills, mag loading, and manually cycling your receiver for function checks. The rounds weigh 15g/.5oz each, and a live 223 I had for comparison weighs 12g/.38oz. I imagine these weigh closer to a 5.56. Function: I inserted all 10 of these into a 30-capacity mag, manually cycling them through and reloading a number of times. I had no issues with seating or ejection and cycling was smooth and authentic. I didn't notice any wear or indentation on the primers after use, so not sure I'll ever need to replace them. Verdict: Highly recommended. These are perfect for practicing safely at home without excessive wear to your firing pin. They feel like actual rounds, but are safely distinguished by their bright color. For novice users, these are great tools for learning how to properly manually cycle and the forces required to prevent malfunctions.

Good quality
Good quality dummy .223 rounds. They come in a little case and you can replace the rubber “primer” if needed to protect your firing pin. I like the bright yellow color to easily identify these as inert rounds. At first, I didn’t think they would eject. But they worked just fine. I was able to chamber a round and then have the BCG grab it and eject it and then load another round. Well worth it to have to practice loading and cycling or after doing upgrades to do a functions check, etc.

Great snap caps !
Buy these and save your ammo. I practice quick draws and reloads all the time now inside my home. Great for people that carry and want to get better.

Good but not great.
They work & feed great. The rubber strike face is replaceable but they fall out pretty easy. I'm sorry but A-zoom has these beat by miles though these are still very good quality.

Good product.
Every bit as good a quality as the snap caps I just bought for my .380, and at a much lower price.

These dummy rounds are crafted to mimic live ammunition in both size and weight, making them ideal for malfunction drills, dry fire training, and firearm handling exercises. The high-visibility design ensures easy identification, reducing the risk of confusion with live rounds. Constructed from durable mild steel and plastic, they are built to withstand repeated use without rim breakage. The rubber primer protects the firearm’s firing pin, making them a safe and reliable choice for training. Whether you're practicing loading/reloading, diagnosing shooting issues, or refining gun handling skills, these dummy rounds provide a realistic training experience without any risk.

These things are absolutely incredible. At $26, these are hands down the best snap caps I own. I actually paid more than this for snap caps before, and they were the generic red hollow ones that are way too light. These clocked in at 39 g each, whereas a real 45-70 (250g) was 37 g so the weighting is PERFECT. They fed beautifully through a lever action (Marlin 1895g), both via the tube mag and breech loaded, and acted perfectly in a break action (H&R single shot) as well. Even after running them through the lever a few times, there wasn't a mark on them, not a ding or scratch to be seen. Plus the yellow tip makes them easy to locate when dropped. Lol
