Ingenious design, user friendly
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! My prior battery-powered food scale stopped working because fluid seeped into the display and button area. I didn't realize how much I had come to depend on having a food scale. So, I needed a new one and found this reasonably priced model & decided to see if the new features were that big of a deal. Oh boy! Ready to use right out of the box 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 It was already charged and paired easily. YAY! And no more batteries. Although two AA batteries each could be inserted into the scale and display. But why hassle with that? Having a two-piece scale is fantastic. I didn't know what I was missing. Now when weighing something that's large or messy, I don't worry if I can see the display or it getting grimy because I can move the scale wherever it's easiest to read and out of the way. Mounting the magnets yo the display and attaching to the wall was so easy and the magnets hold the display (without batteries) securely. The scale seems to be accurate based on weighing the same item on different areas on the surface resulted in the same weight. Changing through different measurements (lb:oz, ml, g, fl:oz) is just as easy as the other scale. I love that the surface (except for the power & charging port on the front side) is sealed so moisture & drips are less of a concern than the prior scale. Excellent design. At this point, I would recommend this scale. It is a great value for the price.

Review for 5” x 5” wireless rechargeable scale and display with battery options
Wow, this scale is a steal at just six dollars! However, some reviews seem a bit mixed up, leading to some wrong ideas about these rechargeable scales that can also work with optional batteries. For example, some folks think the scale isn’t rechargeable because it has battery choices. One reviewer incorrectly stated that it could only be charged with separately purchased rechargeable AAA batteries. My display was charged, but the scale wasn’t. One could incorrectly assume the scale part was not rechargeable. In fact it just needed charging with the included USB to USB-A cable. Another reviewer who assumed it was not rechargeable also assumed it was not wireless and the wrong USBC cable was included instead of a USBC cable to connect both parts together. The manufacturer should really include a guide that also states how to power the product. The guide says nothing on how to charge the scale or use batteries. The scale has no visible markings anywhere except a wifi certification sticker that also says made in china. The display has no visible markets except on top it says Digital Electronic Scale and under the led display it states how to turn it on while also having a logo that says Steelyard. If the rechargeable battery ever stops accepting charging, I’m happy I can still use regular AAA batteries or rechargeable AAA batteries. Let’s clear things up by listing the features: Display and scale use bluetooth wireless technology. Display can be magnetically mounted on refrigerator. Both wireless display and scale are each rechargeable using USBC. Both wireless display and scale can each optionally use 2 x AAA batteries. (4 total) Upon receiving the scale or display they may or may not require charging. Scale is compact at just 5 by 5 inches wide and about a half inch thick. The scale works great upon receiving it. We will have to see how long it lasts.

Better than expected for the price!
Very convenient to be able to weigh a large bowl or box and not have the display covered up. The magnet on the readout portion makes it versatile as you can opt to place it on the fridge or use the built in stand. It's a nice size and the readout is very clear and easy to look at. Very nice compact unit, lightweight and yet not cheaply made. The backlit screen is a nice feature. Slim design doesn't take up much space and looks very professional.

Very nice little scale that knows how to count !
Definitely LITTLE. The picture with the fruit on the scale is very misleading. However, it works well and it is VERY handy to have the monitor/display/control unit separate from the business end of the scale. Since it has only a 11 pound capacity, it's not very likely to be used for larger bread or cakes, but for the small things it's nice. The quality is nice, but care should be taken to not knock it around too much. The monitor/control/display unit has nice sized numbers that make it easy to read - ESPECIALLY because the display is separate from the scale! Overall, it's a good value. The one problem I had was with the instructions for the counting function. It does seem to count OK, but the instructions don't quite work. I saw a video that showed a different method of setting it up to count, but that method isn't very good either. Here's one way I found to make mine work just right. Counting function: The prerequisite for the counting function to be realized is that the weight of each item to be counted must be the same Turn on the machine as described. Prepare 25, 50, 75 or 100 samples, and place the items on the scale pan for weighing and sampling. I used two bowls that were exactly the same weight. One to hold the samples and one to hold the items I wanted counted. Press and hold the (PCS) button until the number "25" is displayed and then release the (PCS) button. If the displayed number is different from the number of samples that are on the scale pan, remove the samples and bowl and then press the [MOD] button to switch to the correct number of samples, then return the samples and bowl on the scale pan and press the (PCS) button to confirm. Remove the samples and bowl and then place the items to be counted in their identical bowl. The display will show the number of items. AND - when you remove the items and bowl, the number returns to zero on the display. This will come in VERY handy for counting nuts and bolts and screws and nails from the shop. Don't worry - I got two of the scales. (for my own safety!) Good luck using yours. I really like them.
