Thus I get 12 gallons of tea per 48 count box This tea is also available in boxes of 24 Family size bags and 100 count standard size bags. FYI, I use 12 of the standard size bags per gallon. Hope this info helps. **Q: Is this tea correctly advertised? There are reviews stating that they are not family sized tea bags, but single serve.** A: A single bag of this tea (Luzianne Family Size) weighs 14 grams. The regular size (think Lipton Tea, single cup) weighs 2 grams (about 1 tsp.). This family size should make 2 quarts, depending on your preference. Luziane also makes a 28 gram product for preparing a gallon of tea. Try to look at the box panel with the serving size. However, on the family size Lipton they gave the amount for a single serving: 1/16 of a bag. Can you believe it?! Some of the products listed do not show the side panel with the nutrition info, so it makes comparing difficult. I will be purchasing this product as I make one quart at a time of double strength tea. I have a two quart container and when it is empty I fill with the double strength and add 1 qt . boiled and cooled water. I immediately make a backup of double strength and keep in refrig til needed.
