Fantastic product helped immensely
This is a fantastic product. Easy to attach the sensor to your body i never felt anything as it went on. Easy clear instructions to set up and use. Once the app is downloaded its very self explanatory. This educated me so much on my eating habits. The foods that raised my glucose were surprising and not the foods i thought would do this. I have already implemented small changes to my diet that have made a difference to my glucose levels. The data stream is easy to see and understand on your phone. Its is so helpful to see the effect some foods can have on your body in real time. This sensor encouraged me to be a bit more active too. This sensor can be pricy but I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to instil changes to their wellbeing in relation to food/glucose levels. This is not just a gadget but a helpful tool designed to make you aware of your food/drink/exercise and how it impacts your body. It also gives helpful advice on changes and allows you to set goals if you wish.

Very stressful 8 days, and device not working properly anyway!
Unfortunately the monitor dramatically understated my supposed glucose levels - I was really worried I was hypoglycaemic! I ended up buying a traditional pin-prick monitor to try and work out what was going on. This pin-prick monitor shows an 8mmol/l difference 😱. That’s a lot! Because the device looked like it was working, it’s taken me 8 days to realise there was a problem with it. I’ll be honest, I hated it. This is one of the most stressful things I’ve used in a long time. The constant measurement of your blood sugar, trying to relate it back to what you ate and how you feel is really horrible. It is easy to become obsessed, and that’s not healthy at all. I have a strong family history of diabetes, so wanted to understand how my eating habits could be improved to reduce my risk, but I don’t think this is a useful or healthy way of achieving that. The monitor pretends to be up-to-date to the minute, but if you read the literature there is actually a 15 minute lag in the results because they are actually measuring the fluid around your cells, not your blood. This means it is inviting you to make judgements on results in real time, but which aren’t actually real! It would be much better and healthier for the user if the monitor showed the 15 minute lag rather than pretending it is up to the minute. So I really don’t recommend, unless under medical supervision. And that is even before you take into account the fact the sensor wasn’t working properly, but there was nothing to indicate that there was a problem apart from some strange results. I would definitely recommend against buying.

Excellent devise
Waited till the 14 days was over to give full review. Fitting : very easy with the instructions, the adhesive was fine by itself although could buy extra coverings App : the app integration works seamlessly once the devise is connected the data was connected, twice had slight issue with Bluetooth connectivity but was easily resolved by either restarting phone or Bluetooth. Information : while it’s obvious that you will get higher spikes from excessive carbohydrates compared to protein and fats the data given gave more nuanced insights, ie for me not all carbohydrate quantities were equal, so elicited a bigger response than others, yes one could work out possibilities vis glycemic index etc but the visual in the moment readings were very useful and allowed one to play with strategies and see in real time if they worked. I only bought one but will get more at a future date to explore my choices again once insights integrated. Well worth the expense for those that want to understand this aspect of their health. For diabetics a different model is available.

Some pros, some cons - would purchase again!
Ok - so some pros and some cons. The pros - this is a great little device that will help you to see how food and exercise affect your blood glucose levels. I found out that porridge doesn't really agree with me! It's super easy to put on and isn't painful at all, despite what the needle looks like. The first one I tried came off within a week, despite following all of the instructions, the sticky just needs improvement. Customer service were great, and sent me a new one out the very next day. They do need the serial number from the box or device so keep that in mind. The cons - I don't like the lingo points, it makes you feel guilty, despite staying in level but when bloods are up and down. You have to keep the app running in the background which drains batteries and it also loses signal some of the time. However, I would 100% purchase again. The insights have been great.

Beware Android users... doesn't connect, limited supported devices
So I thought this was a great idea, saw it supported Android and purchased, even if it was quite expensive, thought I would give it a go. Install the app, placed the device on my arm, paired the phone, which vibrated and made a tone as if connected, waited 60 minutes for the device to warm up and nothing... no Bluetooth connection... Spent the next 2-3 hours clearing the app cache, changing the NFC and Bluetooth settings, logging in and out, reinstalling, rebooting the phone, turning Bluetooth off and on, and re-pairing the device, at no point did it connect or did I get any data from it. Seems it supports Pixel and Samsung only, if you don't have the absolute latest of those (and very specific versions of Android) move along, because it's a £50 brick... I have no idea if it's faulty or not, but it certainly is a waste of time!

How my current dietary intake affected my blood glucose.
I am not diabetic but I wanted to monitor my blood sugar responses to my diet and which changes to that diet kept insulin on a more even trajectory and which were potentially disastrous in the long-term. Well worth the experimental value. The Lingo App was very comprehensive and encouraging and provided goals and strategies to adopt as part of healthy dietary intake, exercise and timing of meals. On the downside, unfortunately I will not use Lingo again as I do not wish to sign their very detailed privacy agreement for personal data which was mandatory to continue further use. Pity...........

Buy this product as its great and the support team are brilliant.
This is an excellent product as it is comfortable, accurate, compact, value for money, the adhesive is strong, its light and very portable and the phone app has many graphs and charts that are very easy to understand. But by far the best thing is the support team at Lingo. My second Lingo product came of, and to be clear it was my own fault as I brushed past a door too hard. The team responded very quickly and replaced it. So five stars all round!

Inconsistent pairing
The monitor is great when they work, been using them for around 4 months, each monitor lasts for 2 weeks at £50+ per monitor, I have to return 3 now as they wouldn't pair. Initially bought through mylingo, however there customer service is poor so preferred the no argument Amazon approach. I have now stopped using them as 3 not working out of 8 monitors is frustrating and expensive
