Is Bobbex effective repelling moose?

How often do you have to spray?  Is its effectiveness reduced/eliminated with rain/irrigation?

I sprayed the product as directed, every 2 months.  What I did notice was that if I missed a plant or two, the deer noticed and ate those flowers.  I live in Washington state and we often have rain during the spring and summer.  I noticed that the rain had no effect on the repellent, it continued to deter.  I found this to be the most effective spray out there.   I plan on using it again in the spring.

can you use this product in the vegetable garden?

I don't know definitively, but their website (www.bobbex.com) says that it "Bobbex should not be used on food plants when fruits, vegetables or herbs are already developed."  They also go on to say that it is water insoluble and won't wash off, so you probably wouldn't want to use it on something like lettuce since it has a very unpleasant smell.  I would recommend that you call the manufacturer at 800-792-4449 to get a more complete answer.  We have a lot of deer and Bobbex does a good job in terms of keeping them off the plants in our yard, but we have a fence to keep them out of the garden.

Does this have any effetiveness for repelling groundhogs

We have friends who used to trap groundhogs on their property, but it didn't work - new ones just moved in. So we decided to co-exist with our groundhog mama and her litter every spring. We spray this every 10 days or so when the plants are still growing during the spring and then every 4 weeks. But we also intentionally leave dandelions and clover in the yard for the groundhogs to eat, as well as leave scrap veggies (lettuce, kale, zucchini, beans, etc) and fruit outside their den. We also let them munch on a few plants we don't really care if they are eaten. This system works for us.
