Really Good tablet
This is my first tablet I started using. Have to be said that I was amazed by it. The screen, the resolution , the sensitivity of the touch function is great. also It has a really solid feel and the appearance of it is more elegant then other tablets on the market. The processor does it's job great, and you can switch between application really easy. If you turn it off however it takes a while (approx 5mins) to boot up again. There is a great variety of apps available for playbook and lots of them are free. I was really happy with this. The battery life is very nice (approx 8-9 hours). The GPS function doesn't work properly though or actually it only works when I am outside of a building and have a clear sky. I think BB could definitely develop that. The camera takes reasonably good pictures, however I think the playbook itself is not enough if you go on a trip and would like to take pictures. Also when I bought it, I wasn't aware there is no flaslight, so when there is no natural light around (i.e. you are in a pub, or inside a building) the playbook is no good for taking pics. All together I believe this is a great replacement of a laptop when you are only intending to browse the internet and write e-mails, play some games. It is more comfortable and because of the size, it is really easy to carry around. I definitely recommend it. I will be looking forward to see if RIM develops this tablet and would be interested in upgrading my Playbook in the next 2-3 years.

Pleasantly surprised
Lets start by addressing the elephant in the room.... this device is not an ipad mini or nexus 7. Were the pricing comparable I would probably rate both of those devices as superior to this. However I bought my 64GB playbook refurbished with 12 months warranty for £65 plus postage. Which I would say, pound for pound, actually puts it way ahead of the aforementioned devices. I must point out that, as a tablet user, my focus is generally limited to internet browsing, managing my diary, music, video, email and the odd application. I have found the playbook to be eminently capable in all these areas and very easy to navigate around. In fact I actually find its standardised "series of swipes" from within any application to be really intuitive (I personally prefer it over both the android and ios devices I have used). One thing in particular I found impressive (as a blackberry user) was the blackberry bridge. You can bridge the playbook and your blackberry together and use the playbook to browse the web or access your blackberry emails seamlessly. Once the connection between the two devices is broken, there are no emails left locally on the device - which from a security perspective (business users) is a great solution to a potential issue. Nevertheless I am not one to be forever consuming new games and applications and I would suggest if I were, I would find the availability and quality of such apps/games on Blackberry World somewhat lacking. There is an ability (with some limited technical expertise) to sideload selected android applications onto the playbook and that does close some of the gaps - but its a process that is a tad more clunky and long winded than just downloading and using apps straight from the apple or android app store. So in summary, if you can secure one for the price I paid, its a no brainer. You will be getting a quality product that is worth much more than you have paid. If you are not someone who is endlessly looking for new apps / games, then once again buy one of these, it is more than enough for your needs. But if you are looking for a good tablet with the flexibility of downloading thousands of games and applications at very cheap prices - this isn't for you.

My Blackberry Playbook
I have not set my Playbook up as yet, because I am not a gadget geek and I have problems with my memory at the moment. However my daughter has one, and that is why I have bought mine. It is slick and really lovely, and conveniently fits into my hand bag. I will ask her to help me to set it up as soon as she can visit me. We are over 200 miles apart, but I am really looking forward to using it. I give a 5* because it came rather fast, and everything about the Little Fellow is superb--I hope!

Non supported tablet
Some of the original apps were missing, such as video chat. As the playbook is no longer supported by blackberry you can not download similar apps. I would advise buyers to spend their money on another devise.
