The smell I see people talking about is the pink brush cleaner - give it a wash in warm soapy water. Always clean your brushes before you use them. There had been a couple that the casing had come off the handle - easy to fix with a tiny bit of nail glue or super glue. Some bristles had been bent out of place - because they are synthetic the can easily be blow dried back in place on low heat. Blowing with the bristes and brushing with a clean spoolie. !!!Avoid heating the metal case or else the glue that holds the bristles in will weaken!! Brush cleaning tip; wash the bristles themselves - avoid soaking them or washing the entire brush. Once water gets withing the casing it starts harbouring bacteria.
