Ube Extract by Butterfly 2 oz

This ube flavoring adds a nice sweet purple yam flavor to drinks and desserts and works well in recipes like lattes, baked goods, and homemade treats. It also gives food a vibrant purple color, which makes everything look more fun and appealing. The flavor is good overall, though I wish it tasted a little stronger and more natural. Still, it’s easy to use, mixes well, and is a convenient option for adding ube flavor at home.

This extract is so tasty and colorful, perfect for adding more flavor to my ube halaya or on it's own in frosting, drinks, etc.

This product is potent. It will definitely stain your hands or dishes if you use it in porous containers. It is not the easiest to use, as the pouring spout does not have a great way to stop product from flowing. It is difficult to measure out amounts for it, and every time I have used it, I have had to rinse off the bottle because of how much ube extract falls onto the bottle. It is very flavorful and good for adding ube flavorings to products like baked goods, puddings, cakes, ice cream, and so forth. The small bottle is not a detriment because a little goes a long way, making it a great value.

Taste, price, value for the money. Color is very intense purple as it should be. The smell is very ube. My only objectiion was the plastic bottle decanter. Very messy. Designing a nondrip spout would make clean up not an issue. I'll try using a dropper next time, which could have been provided.

My wife introduced me to ube ice cream years back. I decided to surprise her by making homemade ube ice cream. It turned out so good.
