Buy the 9500 and save some money. I have been using this new 9800 for a few months, it is a good razor but I miss the aesthetic feel of my old Norelco 8260XL. The cleaning station was better, a bit bigger but it did a better job with the jet-clean solution. I wish they still made the 8260XL with the new double blade heads. I can see some benefits in the re-design of the 9800 razor, the more geometric deign of the heads kinda follows the contours of my face, but their is space between the edge of the head and the round razor portion that you have to consider.
