Lovely paint
I have been researching what is best for exterior furniture and according to people opinion oil paint is more durable outside than water based oil so that was the reason I tried this oil paint.First I put the white oil primer and the next day this lovely paint.Only with one coat looks fabulous even though is applied on white primer.I took a tin with 2.5l so I have lots more paint which I will apply later. So far the tin came in perfect condition thank you for that.Paint is not too tick ,not too watery perfect.Easy to apply and outside doesnโt stink that much. Not dripping too much so not wasted too much but how good is the paint only the time will show.I am hoping it will last more but only time will tell.We love the colour.Suits perfect on my new furnitures.

Very good
Goes on great on wood and metal. I used the gloss white on some wood outside a few years ago and it is still good. I've used this on both wood and metal and been pleased. Way better than rustoleum although not sure this is suitable for over rust. But good consistency. Rustoleum was like water. Can take a few days to dry fully. A day later even in summer, thick coats where still tacky.

Very Very RED!!!
Good paint. Only knocking 1 star off because it is absolutely nothing like the colour sample on the tin at all! In reality it is a very very vivid bright post box red! And it takes several days to dry. But other than that it is a good paint. Goes on easy, usually takes just one coat as well.

Good gloss paint
Good paint. Covers nicely but is quite runny. It is a bright white. Used on an old outside door on top of their undercoat. Happy with the result

Great paint!
This paint is fabulous. Didn't want to pay a silly amount but this was so reasonable and Johnstones too.....so I read reviews.....most were good but there's a few that say its awful to paint with. Runs and that it takes days to dry!! I just want to say, it's great to paint with, you do need to just double check for drips but isn't that the same for all paint?! If you have missed a bit as long as it's not too long you can go back and touch up...it doesn't clump together and look messy it's so easy just to brush over and the bit that I thought I would struggle with is the drying time, tin says 16 =24 hrs but some reviews said days, well I'm happy to report that I started painting my porch at 6.30/7 last night, took me about an hour.....perfectly dry this morning!! Looks fabulous....not sure whether you can really tell on the picture. Yes it's a bit smelly but it's outdoor paint!! 10/10......highly recommended A*****

Johnstone's Barollo Exterior Gloss. Great oil based gloss paint.
Johnstone's exterior gloss paint - oil based barollo. I have used this same type and brand of paint over 12 years ago to paint the outside of my polystyrene beehives. They have all lasted really well with every sort of weather being thrown at them over the years whilst exposed to the elements out in the open. I decided to give them a clean and repaint as they are understandably full and there are areas where the paint has deteriorated. However after being exposed for such a long time this is not surprising. I really their oil based gloss paint which has lasted well. I have used some water based gloss on some hives and found it to be put in comparison. It is unfortunate that Johnstone's appear to be gradually changing their formula over from oil based to water based which I feel is a bad move. Water based gloss just does not stand up to the elements anywhere near as well as oil based prices. I want entirely certain how this barollo colour would turn out. I'm all of the images on the internals the colours looks a browny shade of red. However over gray primer I would say it is much more of a red than broken. I personally think the colour is best described as a mulberry red which looks really good. 2 or even 3 coats over the gray primer/undercoat gives an amazing shine with the feeling of smooth plastic once it's dried fully. Hopefully it will last a good few years.

The paint is more a 'midnight blue' for me than the greyer blue in the colour square
Decent product. I wouldn't go way ott like some of the reviewers however. This is probably mainly because I used this to paint my old iron gutters. I was painting over Sandtex 'Atlantic Grey' gloss paint which I used last time (just short ten years ago I think). That product was immense. Dripped less, far better coverage, superb finish, fantastic durability and longevity. That was a kind of an 'end of the line' product at a very attractive price when I purchased it. I couldn't get that colour again alas. It was actually a happy accident with the colour before as my gutters were grey prior so consequently I bought the named colour but it was much bluer than grey when it went on. But when it was on I liked it far better than what was on before. I bought two 2.5L pots of the Sandtex then but in the end I only really needed one. So I still had most of the second pot left for this go (it lasted those near ten years: another big tick). I bought this product as I felt the colour square looked a close match to the Sandtex. However, that was a bit of a waste of time as the paint don't really look remotely like the colour square on the side to me (less grey when in the pot and less grey when it's on too). So all in all, I wish I'd just bought the Sandtex Oxford blue (seems to be the ubiquitous shade of blue gloss paint quoted). As that is absolutely exceptional paint in my experience. I would certainly recommend anybody doing that type of job to get that stuff too (similarly priced to this product: circa ยฃ40 for 2.5L) This paint is however still good. However it drips far more and feels thinner and when it drips is more prone to going through dust-sheets I found. Also, I needed far more of it. Two full tins of it was required when I still had most of the second tin of the Sandtex left the last time I did it (I did put two coats on my front garage door too on this occasion right enough, but still. I was surprised at how much of it I got through in light of my prior experience with the Sandtex. And I used what I had left of that first on this occasion of course and as I said, it was a reasonable amount.). In summary: Sandtex exterior gloss metal and wood paint: 5 stars plus. This product: I'm swithering between 3.5 and 4 stars. As I'm feeling generous as I'm now done with scaling ladders to paint bl00dy gutters :-)... 4 stars I suppose.
