These undershield/splash shield cover nuts fit the screws built into the underside of my car perfectly. Nice to have new plastic nuts on the splash shield to hold it in place securely. Of course considering they are plastic nuts it's advisable to avoid over-tightening and potentially stripping the threads. Actually, it seems like when installing them you are creating the threads for the first time by screwing them on.

Stripped the fender liner nut and stud on my Touareg. Replaced nut on both sides after repair. I have no clue why VW would not simply use a machine screw like the rest of the fasteners??? One dumb plastic nut on a rusty threaded stud... Well at least these nuts are suitable replacements and don't cost much. I could have ordered only two from the VW parts department, but that would have cost just as much as a 30 pc bag of them, and taken over a week to arrive.

Fits well, remember these are not meant to be lifetime bolts, so don't over torque. Keep them on hand and save some money for Porsche diy projects that require removal of underbody protection.
