Andersen Storm Door Closer Kit in Bronze Color

I just put my door in a year ago that came with this one---and the last one stopped working a few weeks ago. Since I did not want to have to go with another one and redrill holes---I am hoping this one lasts longer! The release stopped working and I had to remove the first one to allow the door to close. (I know how to use it, it just stopped working)This one is very expensive if they are going to last a year or so. Although this door is used several times a day, this mechanism is rarely used---maybe a 1/2 dozen times since installation.I am hoping that I had a "bad" one and this will hold longer. If not, I won't buy another at this price!

Not very nice on the price but very good closer. Out frame is a little bent on out Larson door and this helped.

The Anderson door damper was a replacement for a over time broker damper. It is well made and is very close to the color of the original door. It was overall easy to install.

Closer arrived with no instructions and some incorrect parts. The closer has many extra parts for what I'm assuming is multiple installation options, the BOM (bill of materials), and adjustment instructions. No installation instructions. I went to the manufacturer's website, looked up my model number, and downloaded a file labeled "instruction guide". This was actually the adjustment instructions I already had. So then I downloaded the other available file which was labelled "adjustment guide". This was actually the BOM I already had. At the bottom in small writing it stated to "to view full installation instructions please visit the manufacturer's website"....Ok.... Third and final option was an installation video! This will surely solve my problem. The first thing it said was "before watching this video be sure to read the full installation guide found on the manufacturer's website"... What I did find useful was the video showed the parts I was supposed to receive which was why I was unable to install the closer. So, if you want to enjoy an afternoon of circular-logic and an Amazon return, I highly recommend this product

With the included self-tapping screws (it came with a big variety of screws) the install was super fast and easy. Closer is super easy to adjust. Pushbutton works great. Got tired of the bent washer-thingy on my old closer slipping and the door closing when I didn't want it to. I'd buy it again... that is if I had another door to put it on.
