Ordered this part in a crunch to get the screen door fixed and I got a defective part…. Can’t even twist it to fit the pin in. It just won’t fit

Great replacement for storm door
Our prior closer was damaged due to winds pulling the door way too far open and bending the rods. This a great replacement for our Anderson storm door. The only negative is the screw patterns for the old door hardware to the door jamb is different. This is a 3 screw in a line versus a 4 screw in the corners pattern. Lucking I still managed to use 2 of the holes and these screws were slightly larger.
