DIVINA Caramelized Onion Jam 7.6 oz. (2-Pack)

I used to make my own caramelized onions now I use these. The taste is great however, the price has gone up so much… I bought the double pack as it seemed to be a better price. Hopefully, the price will come down in the future. I use it to make patty melts with the meatless burgers. It is absolutely delicious and save so much time.

My new addiction! Try it on a cracker with Brie. Try it on a hot dog with mustard. Try it on a cheeseburger. You will thank me later.

Tastes wonderful on a patty melt in place of grilled onions. I can’t wait to try on different things. My only complaint is that it is pricey so that may hold me back a bit

Great taste. Kinda expensive.

I got this to put on some patty melts and it was wonderful on them. On it's own the onion jam tastes just like the caramelized onions I make at home, but there's this little hit of acidity (from the ascorbic acid) that hits right at the end, but it doesn't get in the way of the caramelized onion flavor. However the acidity flavor is there and I was worried it would ruin the flavor of the patty melt, but it didn't. I like to put ketchup on my patty melts (I know, the horror, right?) and I noticed that the ketchup cut the acidic taste quite a bit, almost to the point where I didn't notice the ascorbic acid taste (first bite), so that was nice. I was able to enjoy the patty melt and I got used to the ascorbic acid flavor quickly and soon didn't notice it anymore. I would like to make some French onion soup with this onion jam or perhaps a grilled cheese with the onion jam in the middle...both sound really good. The flavor is pretty concentrated, so I found that I used less of this onion jam than I usually do of the caramelized onions I make at home, so that's a plus. Would I buy this again? Sure, as long as it stays under $9. Making caramelized onions is a pain in the butt and takes a long time to do it the right way. I usually don't take them this far (jam stage), choosing to stop cooking them when they are still recognizable as onions. I am always afraid I will burn them, plus taking them to the jam stage takes about an hour. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope it was helpful.

Horrible taste and smell.

Love the flavor. I used it to make a special meatloaf and was very pleased.
