NKJV, Thinline Reference Bible, Large Print, Premium Goatskin Leather, Black, Premier Collection, Comfort Print: Holy Bible, New King James Version [Thomas Nelson] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. NKJV, Thinline Reference Bible, Large Print, Premium Goatskin Leather, Black, Premier Collection, Comfort Print: Holy Bible, New King James Version Review: Quality Bible at Great Price - Received the item in one day. It was packaged nicely. When I slid the Bible out from the wrapping, I was pleasantly surprised soft goatskin, salmon art gilding, clear font that I could read--and at a reasonable price. I don't think it is easy to find all of this for $99 in 2025. This is a beautiful Bible in a beautiful translation. It may not be a Schuyler, but I think many people would be very happy to have it. When it was first released?, It was offered at a cheaper MSRP and some of those people who purchased it back in 2018 would have paid only about $75 to $90. The mrsp for this Bible is now at $219, and desertcart offers the best price. I think it's brown goat skin sibling. Maybe $10 cheaper at this time. Thomas Nelson has been able to achieve this by using outsourcing in China and more recently, Korea. I'm adding this in to save people the trouble of going through all the reviews. Given the price and the quality, I consider this an outstanding value. Review: An exquisite premium Bible that’s gorgeous in every way. - I tried hard, but in the end, I couldn't resist ordering one of the Thomas Nelson Premier Collection New King James Version (NKJV) Large Print Thinline (LPT) Reference Bibles from desertcart for the unbelievably low price of $70. I ordered it last Wednesday, and it arrived yesterday. I immediately fell in love with it. Simply put, this is an exquisite premium Bible that’s gorgeous in every way. I found a whole lot to love about my new Nelson Premier Collection NKJV LPT Bible. It has a buttery-soft goatskin cover that is soft, supple, and has a beautiful grain. You can easily see the natural variances in the leather, anomalies that make each Bible unique. The cover also has beautifully precise perimeter stitching and quite a generous yapp that is designed to protect the stunningly gorgeous red-under-gold art gilding. Of course, this Bible has an edge lining, which is far superior to the more common (and cheaper) paste-down linings. The lining is calfskin and has a gold stamped gilt line around the inside perimeter. The Bible also has three good quality 3/8-inch (two black, one red) satin ribbons. This Bible features the Thomas Nelson NKJV typeface, which is a “Comfort Print” font designed by 2K/Denmark. The box says the font is 11-point, but in reality, I think it may be a bit smaller than that. Still, it's very easy on my eyes, and a joy to read. The page layout is wonderful. I especially like the red page and paragraph headers, page numbers, chapter numbers, and reference pilot numbers, all printed in a dark, easy to read red. The words of Jesus are printed in black, which I prefer. The box describes the text block paper as "Premium European Bible paper, 36 gsm,” and I believe it. It's without question the finest quality paper I've ever seen in a Bible. It’s thick, durable, and wonderfully opaque – there’s almost no ghosting anywhere. Other features include references located at the bottom of each page, mixed in with footnotes. There’s also a good concordance and eight brightly colored maps in the back; however, I don't see anything exceptional about the maps... they seem like pretty standard fare to me. The Thomas Nelson Premier Collection NKJV LPT Bible earns my highest recommendation.

Great value
Beautiful Bible and is holding up well over time. This is not true LARGE print, but is a good option for a larger print without buying a huge Bible.

A truly pleasant edition of the NKJV
I am absolutely blown away with this Bible! I have long wanted to get a larger size NKJV (I only own a pocket edition) to compliment my reading and study (primarily an NASB and KJV user.) I have a “thing” for well bound books, as I’m sure many looking at this product do, and I can think of no volume more deserving a grand presentation than God’s Word. The goatskin on this volume is super soft and incredibly pleasant to hold. The binding is solid but supple; I was able to open to both the first and last pages with the Bible laying on my lap and had no issues with pages turning themselves. The print and layout are incredibly clear and the font is exceptionally pleasant and smooth for long reading sessions; the letters almost appear to leap from the page. I can only compare this to one other goatskin Bible (Cambridge Clarion NASB) and I would say Thomas Nelson has put out a product that easily compares to the Cambridge. In fact, the leather on the Nelson is softer than the Cambridge (I love them both equally!) I feel that this Bible will last a lifetime!

Gorgeous Bible
Easy to read. Lovely leather cover, soft and flexible. Has some weight to it. How can I explain? It's heavier. Must be the high quality paper.

NICE BIBLE BUT PRINT WAS A DEAL BREAKER FOR ME
Let me start by saying this is a very nice Bible, made of some high quality materials. However, two aspects were a negative for me. First, The goatskin leather, though of great quality, could’ve used a bit more support, IMHO. This bible would’ve been a bit unwieldy trying to hold with one hand while reading from the pulpit. Not only that, but after holding the Bible no more than 8 or 12 times, the very soft leather now has an indent in the back where my thumb supported the Bible while holding with one hand. Secondly, the print, at least for MY sixty-four year old, diabetic, cataracts—in—the—making eyes, could’ve been another two sizes or so larger, and perhaps with bold verse numbers. But, as others have said, for the price, it is a very well made Bible. It’s just that, as a preaching pastor, I increasingly gravitate toward Bibles with readable print. Granted, to an extent, that’s a relative phrase: “readable print.” I mean, just ten years ago or less, this Bible would’ve been just fine. But, alas, as a great theologian once said, “I ams what I ams.” So, long story short, I am returning the Bible. But, thankfully another Nelson NKJV is working out quite well for my preaching needs: The NKJV Preaching Bible. Ample line spacing, larger, quite readable print, and fairly decent material quality. Oh, and also, colored chapter and verse numbers. That said, Cambridge may be the blue ribbon winner for me in the long run, with their Topaz line. Will probably be my next Bible purchase down the road. But that’s a review for another day.

Simply excellent in almost every way. Raised ribs on the spine would have made this a perfect Bible, but it truly is worth 5 stars. Paper is awesome. Cover is unbelievably soft. Craftsmanship all around is worth so much more than the actual cost. I would highly recommend this Bible to anyone.

This truly is a beautiful Bible. Even the box it comes in suggests quality. On taking the Bible out of the box and removing the paper wrapper, the first thing that struck me was the sheer premium quality of the goatskin Bible. It’s a joy simply to hold this Bible. The cover is soft, supple and feels great. The print size and type really are clear and easy to read. The pages are crisp and of very good quality and haver that nice “Bible paper” sound. Passage references are at the bottom of the page, and there is a generous 38-page concordance at the back, with some nice colour maps. There is some bleeding of the text so that you can see the text from the other side of the page seeping through, but it is by no means a distraction at all. The Bible, even though brand new, does lay mostly flat, though the first few pages do lift up. However, I am sure, as employees at Grace Bros. would tell you, the pages will “ride down with wear”. Quality binding and three generous satin book markers. No other way to put it; this really is a Bible the exudes premium quality.

My husband absolutely loves this Bible - he loves the two column layout, the feel of the paper, the size and readability of the font, and the tactile feel of the gorgeous floppy goatskin cover. Beautiful.

This Bible was expensive but, for me at least, it was worth the cost. The Bible is quite beautiful, and a comfortable size. The print is very readable for my 80 year old eyes. I readily recommend it.
